There is a huge shortage of mechanics & service repair people. It's 9 degrees and my furnace is out and despite living in a major metro area I can't get someone out to fix it for 3 days. We have people with degrees that can't even earn enough to pay back their loans. End the DOE

I miss that our kids can’t participate in high school wood-shop, home-ec, or drivers Ed. Rather, they have to take a CA mandated Ethnic Studies class that teaches them to hate all white men (which happens to be my husband & our kids’ dad). Makes no sense.

100% correct. We NEED more vocational schools. Mike Rowe is a wonderful spokesperson for the trade schools as is the other fellows. We need a major curriculum change starting in elementary school. Thank you for voicing this problem.

Amen! And this in turn impacted these children’s ability to process information, to gain common sense, and mechanical aptitude. Good job,👏 …. here’s your sign. And what do these things do? They give you confidence when you’re trying something new.

@mikeroweworks is a legendary badass. I would have loved to see him as Secretary of Education.

It took 55 years for JELLYFISH Jill Biden to get a certificate to hang on her wall title, "Doctor of Education." No more to be said.

As an ex "shop" teacher, I can tell you this shit goes in cycles. About every 10 years the know it alls decide these courses aren't needed and poof they are gone. When there's no one to do the actual work because of college prep, someone comes up with a great idea, Vocational Ed.
