We've referred to this idea as the HTTP of Web3. In the early 90s, the internet before HTTP looked a lot different than it does today. Users had to manually connect to other networks. The killer application was simple transfers of messages (email). ✉️

Today, when using web3, our experience is similar. Connect to a new network in your wallet. Bridge tokens. Get gas to use your app. Max pain. Both the internet in 1990 and web3 today were/are too complex for any normal user to use. 🏗️

It was the adoption of HTTP in 1993, however, that ignited the digital revolution. Almost overnight the internet grew from 50 websites/networks to THOUSANDS. It coined the "Netscape moment" phrase we still use today to explain web3 mass adoption. HTTP made the internet usable.

Blockchains make the internet not just network of information, but a network of value that can be used to coordinate humans at an unprecedented scale. They have the potential to create a fairer, more egalitarian world. But to do this, they need to become usable.
