More Tim thoughts after many notifications about this 💚

I’ve always said that it’s been the same 200-300 of us OG’s spending millions of dollars on this stuff. Not thousands… millions of dollars.

IMO we need to bring the heart back into the project. It’s using the community, not to buy, but to bond and build together

We, as the core VeeFriends community, are incredibly important to the project's growth and onboarding process. I would also love to see an initiative that brings us into more conversations, giving us the opportunity to offer input on where we believe resources could and should be allocated. Without us, the hardcore believers and financial backers, VeeFriends wouldn't be what it is today. We continue to show up, we continue to invest and fund all of this merchandise that allows for the growth of the VeeFriends brand. As I said above, a high percentage of sales and viewers are the same 300 of us that show up for everything as we have done since the brands inception. @garyvee

Well said Harrison, and thanks for the convo. I know I may come across as abrasive and a bit negative in the above video, but thats really just passion after a long day of teaching 12 year olds. I love what they are doing with the TECH (Rarable, Bookgames, Eruptions, and discounts) Running a business like this is way over my head and I know we both trust the jockey here. All I can express in my POV and its nice to know I am not alone in feeling this way.

I think they have done well to sell on certain shows and for Gary to give free advice during the Q&A shows. I have a friend who used to run a small insurance agency. He has a heart for people who worked under him. And people came with baggages that affected their work. He spent time to counsel them, to show care, hoping that they would turn their lives around. But when the work did not produce the result, one party had to cut the other one off. At the end, he did not achieve his career goal of building a team and a business. And he lost friends along the way. I learnt something from my friend’s experience and also learning something from Gary. (I still prefer to write, rather than to do a video) 😛

Love you and love this. I don’t think any of it is negative and people should voice their concerns. And I hate that people look at it that way. I disagree with you on somethings and that is okay. I have gone through an IP build on the business side and dealt with the benefits and challenges with a tight core community. It’s tough on both sides.

Whether you feel the ick or "damn when teacher for veefriends" I wont let you or others go away from veefriends. Glad you chose to have twitter space and were able to have polish, Jeremy, Adam, clint in it. Actually I know you won't go anywhere as the rare robot comic is in the making (have you seen DJs recent live stream?). Even if that wasnt the case, I know livingbot will always be there. I disagree with you bro and its all good man. We come from different perspectives too. I had a longer response earlier I was writing but didnt. Harder to do video right now for me but I see & hear your heart. The last thing I think @garyvee or anyone else in @veefriends wants is for anyone to feel similar where you're at but no doubt some may even as hard as they try not to. It's also interesting to see how some who are quick to always agree to tear down VeeFriends or act like VeeFriends can never do wrong. There is a balance. It's why there are amazing people like @jeremyknowsVF and others like @Corso52 too. They aren't perfect. They won't always get it right. I won't always agree with them. Neither will you. VeeFriends also isn't the only IP out there. As Gary says.. it's AND not OR. We can choose to support what we love too. We can use our $ where we want and when we want. These are collectibles brother.. and just like you can't get a class of students to agree what their favorite type of pizza is ... or the cultural significance of 6... 7... we can have conversations. Not a bad take. I think we are seeing market dynamics happen in real time, I also do feel apart of that "weaponization" is almost inherent to the live shopping platforms. If you go to a VF stream or a card breaker (NFL) i still get that same "rush" to bid and buy. Which is why I think those platforms are so succesful. If VF only did private drops to NFT buyers or online retail I bet many would feel different. So it begs a question, do you stick to the growing platform trends of live shopping to try and grow mass awareness and risk losing a % of the original followers, or do you go away from that, and risk less growth? Its a tough decision and one I would have trouble Navigating if I was on team Vee. I personally think all the random releases risk cannabalizing the product in the short term, and I personally will stick to buying "Topps" releases as I feel the risk profile of those items staying "sellable" is better. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out

Interesting point of view! I agree with you mostly.. seems like every 2-3 weeks there’s a new (hat, comic, card, super sticker) drop. I hope a lot of people that are buying just have a lot of disposable income because it’s definitely not worth going into debt over!

You’re not the only one seeing people come in and leave. I feel I’ve lost significant people I felt connected to previously that just aren’t about it anymore for the reasons you said but instead of getting vocal and getting positivity shamed they just disappear silently.

I feel you... The 30-year Veefriends documentary will be amazing, and it's incredible to witness it in real time. People have different needs and opinions on business decisions because a dollar's value is not the same for everyone. Back when Veefriends started, the big question was "when is the merch drop?" The answer was "be patient." Now, the conversation has shifted to "there's too much merch." I believe the answer is still patience. That being said, keep keeping it real! You're not wrong. And for the people that are commenting or "coming after you" embrace it because they're not wrong either.... BTW I don't know shit but I do care and I think that's all that really matters.. 🤷 💜

As being in the sports hobby/collectibles for 30 years, I was so pumped for chrome, still have sealed products, went hard on breaks thru other channels, built nice collection, but as you said the crazy Infkated prices on WN, Slowly see the same writing on the wall. Common sense

If you recall, I was doing @veeminders for a while but eventually I was the only one doing it and I didn’t know how to get others interested. Maybe writing positive messages on cardboard isn’t a fun or interesting form of engagement or maybe I wasn’t executing it well. But it also felt like maybe people aren’t really into the “do things around the traits for free” aspect of things in general and they’re in it for the products and the breaks etc and that’s why the brand caters that way.

I love this community. I’ve been in since the mint. All the VeeCons etc. I’ve met and befriended some amazing people. I hope to see you irl. 🤟The merch craze has been a fun rekindling of youthful excitement for me. I agree that one does not need to buy everything all the time but it has also opened up arbitrage opportunities for the entrepreneurial folks.

Do you think 1 of a few things here is occurring. 1) Gary doesn’t see this? So is blind to it all? 2) the @veefriends team refuse to take this kind of feedback to Gary in fear of their own personal gains being at stake? 3) no fucks are given? In the sense that self aware hare has been shot by entrepreneur elf?
