So what your saying is I have to make my 3080 another 5-7 years. Then dust off my ps5 and make that last another 8 before I have to start selling organs to play games at that point.

That's why I am waiting for 60 series so that 50 series price drops and I will get a new 3080

I think by the end of 2027, all this memory shortage will be fixed because PlayStation and Xbox have to launch their respective consoles anyway, and by that time, many new memory fabs will also be operational in full production.
