Mortal Kombat 2 was solid. Not the greatest story, but the action delivered, especially the fatalities. Karl Urban was surprisingly good as Johnny Cage, and they finally got rid of Cole Young, the worst character in the MK franchise. Highlight of course was the entertaining fights, with Kung Lao vs Liu Kang leading the way. I suspect we'll see those two again in MK3.

I want to be Johnny Cage.’ I never got an audition, which is fine. I mean, maybe they just didn’t see me as the character, And then I heard Karl Urban got it, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ And people were like, ‘Are you mad? Are you angry?’ And it’s like, I never get mad or angry when someone else gets a part that I want.”
