Reminds me of the summer 2014 event over here. On approach it looked like there was a fireworks display just over the horizon. What followed was a good half hour of lightning every second or two, much as you’re seeing there.

It was quite something seeing continuous flashes for a good 30-40 minutes!

I'm just a bit disappointed that there aren't many decent typical lightening strikes.. It's just massive amounts of flashing.. Even the cat sat and watched it out of the window.. Very impressive but not brilliant for photos
