Most candidates dodge the question. James Fishback didn’t. We asked him point-blank how he’d handle abortion in Florida.

@j_fishback If you are a college student in Florida or beyond, make sure to join a @SFAbolition chapter or start one on your campus!

@j_fishback Proud of our UNF @SFAbolition chapter for capturing this interview and pressing @j_fishback on the most important issue plaguing Florida.

At @sfabolition, we exist to advance abolitionism by equipping the next generation to abolish abortion. We encourage our students to be politically engaged and have students that have interviewed/engaged with candidates in multiple different states. Most recently, we interviewed @MontyFritts4TN in Tennessee. These interviews are encouraged because they showcase that equal protection is gaining ground in the culture. We have not endorsed Fishback’s campaign for governor or that of any other candidate for Florida governor. We post this to A. Highlight our students being politically engaged and B. Allow a platform for candidates to publicly support abolitionist bills and efforts, which holds them morally and politically accountable to their words.

@j_fishback It's pretty dang awesome that SFA is activating students to do stuff like this. That's a massive help to the abolition movement. Good on y'all!

@j_fishback Fantastic to see more and more legislators supporting equal protection. The Overton is certainly shifting.

@j_fishback Thank you for the interview @j_fishback !

@j_fishback Questions that MUST be answered before considering to vote for any candidate.

@j_fishback Too bad this audio on this makes it unwatchable

@j_fishback This is the primary reason he will not be governor. Florida had to raise the threshold to 60% to keep the abortion amendment from passing. Even then, it almost passed anyway. In spite of their Republican administration, Florida is a strong Pro-Choice state.
