Most Difficult American Accents

Appalachian is a real challenge. As someone who understands it, and can speak it, it's... LOL Cajun, yeah, that's like America's Scotland there. No one understands them. Case in point, this guy from The Waterboy:

I guess the "Valley Girl" accent isn't a thing anymore. I feel old.

When I moved to SE Louisiana from NE Ohio in 2006, I had a TERRIBLE time with the Cajun accent. I had a job that required me to speak to customers on the phone. In person, speaking with a Cajun was usually no big deal, but on the phone, I was like WTF are these people saying 🤣
