Most image models are good at one thing. Uni-1 has been good at everything we've thrown at it. Our team generated thousands of images leading up to Uni-1 launch. We embedded them all into a single map where visual similarity determines proximity. The result speaks for itself.

Last week we wrapped up our training at SpaceX - Crew-12 is certified for flight and ready to go to the International Space Station! We’ve now entered quarantine and are prepping our families and logistics. We’re L-13 days from launch at the NASA's Kennedy Space Center! The recent unprecedented weather event in the UAE and the operational disruptions it caused at #DXB have been a great challenge for us all, but it has been the most challenging for our guests who’ve had to spend much longer than they expected at our terminals. To bring some comfort to them during this time, our team of ground staff and volunteers has worked tirelessly around the clock to deliver more than 73,000 packs of snacks and water. We understand the frustration and distress that the past few days have caused many travellers, and we thank you all for your patience and understanding as our operations recover. Please know that your welfare is, and will always continue to be, our number one priority.

Create a 3D model from a single image, set of images or a text prompt in < 1 minute 😮‍💨 This new AI paper called CAT3D shows us that it’ll keep getting easier to produce 3D models from 2D images — whether it’s a sparser real world 3D scan (a few photos instead of hundreds) or your favorite 2D image generator like Midjourney (just an image). How does this magic work? “This architecture is similar to video diffusion models, but with camera pose embeddings for each image instead of time embeddings. The generated views are passed into a robust 3D reconstruction pipeline to create the 3D representation (Zip-NeRF or 3DGS)”

It has become increasingly obvious that forced integration has been a massive failure. It has resulted in Whites being violently victimized by Blacks at nearly 35X the rate that blacks are victimized by whites. The civil rights act destroyed one of our most fundamental constitutional rights, freedom of association. I believe ending forced segregation was a good idea. I also believe that forcing blacks & whites to integrate at gunpoint was a terrible idea. We must restore freedom of association.
