Digital infrastructure is now public infrastructure; we just haven’t started treating it that way. When roads or power grids fail, we fix them collectively. When digital systems fail, we hope private companies step in. This is backwards. If the internet is going to be the foundation of global society, the systems beneath it must be: open, verifiable, resistant to unilateral control, and most of all, accountable to the people who rely on them. The Second Age of Polkadot is about designing digital infrastructure that behaves like infrastructure, not a product owned by a handful of companies.

The history of all the families who came to this province, whether 200 years ago or last year, and built the homes, communities, and way of life we enjoy today. My great-grandfathers homesteaded in Saskatchewan and built a home in Hamilton, Ontario that still stands today. Like millions of others, they were told this was a free country where they could work hard, raise a family, and create a better life. We have built something remarkable together. What happens when you give a frontier agent access to a full company's history of docs, messages, tasks and more? As I'm onboarding to ClickUp, this feels like an absolute cheat code. "Cursor for your entire job." Full history of the company's thinking, decision making and operations are natively accessible w/ first-party tools and data access. No exaggeration this has reduced the amount of overhead to get ramped up (# of messages sent) by >60%. At Codegen we built an agent that straddles multiple applications - Slack, Linear, Notion, etc. - with many obvious limitations. Agents cannot search Slack historical conversations, for example, nor can you index Slack data. Any question concerning a historical decision is just out of reach. There are clear constraints of fragmentation preventing otherwise extremely capable models from performing productive tasks. Seems the biggest bottleneck to agent productivity in early 2026 is not capabilities or knowledge, it's the politics and incentives around SAAS fragmentation. Very bullish for all-in-one horizontal SAAS and what that unlocks
