Save yourself a full minute of watching someone color in some stupid map:

🦟 Lil buggers

The people saying it is not Alaska have clearly not been out in the Alaskan wilderness in summer… it is not like any other state. One slap on your leg and you might kill 12 of them.

I find it hard to believe that Alaska is the worst. The worst I have ever seen is Louisiana. The mosquito is the state bird there.

I'm calling BS on that. FL, TX and LA are the absolute worst. Alaska has them but for maybe two months. FL, TX and LA have them for a LOT longer.

Who ever did this hasn’t ever lived in Florida. Yes Alaska is HORRIBLE- but only for short season. Florida has mosquitos that will eat you ALL YEAR ROUND.

Everyone who says it isn't Alaska is welcome to come to my house tomorrow and I'll drive you out to a river and lock you outside the truck for a few minutes and only when you say "please I'm sorry I said it wasn't Alaska don't let them kill me" will I unlock the door

It’s Louisiana Not even a close race We live in the Bayou Like Mosquito heaven And they are the size of small rodents

Growing up in New Orleans we used to follow the mosquito fogger trucks around on our bikes! 😆

Purple states needs more dragonflies! We have the coolest ones around my pond here in Taxachusetts. Green, blue etc! I haven’t seen any at all this summer!

Alaskan rage bait. Can vouch for Galveston, TX being the worst. It's a city sized stagnant puddle that's a perfect brooding spot for trillions of these big striped mother fuckers. Every time I visit for a weekend I come back itching for a week.

Minnesota is like 90% swamplands. Come here and you'll change it from red to purple.

Mosquitoes in Alaska are no joke. It’s friggin brutal and the only place I’ve been that’s worse…. Greenland.

I was waiting for Florida to be drawn purple

Alaska’s state bird

The Land of 10,000 Lakes... just "Bad". I find that hard to believe.

I remember in Louisiana history in the eighth grade reading in the text that during the civil war, the union soldiers complained more about the mosquitoes than they did about the confederate soldiers

Cool how they respect state lines.

Northern Minnesota is terrible.

Shortcut

Yes Alaska. The extensive tundra is perfect habitat for them.

The UP of Michigan is a completely different level of mosquito infestation than the rest of the state….it’s biblical plague level.

How east Texas and Louisiana didn't make #1 is blasphemy. I demand a recount.

Ughh they’re everywhere!! But I did hear that Alaska is horrible for them.

In Alaska we get waves of mosquitoes. First in the spring are the bombers, big fucking monsters that you can hear coming and feel when they thump down on your skin to bite so they aren't that bad. Late summer near the end of mosquito season you get the tiny fighters I honestly believe they could kill a human in a single day

I have lived all over the US. I lived near hellhole swamp in SC and I thought the mosquitos were bad. In Alaska running equipment in the interior, I would have to reverse the engine fan occasionally to blow all the mosquitos out plugging up the radiator. Alaska hands down.

One of the things I love most about my home in north Phoenix, is the near non-existence of mosquitos. Lived here nine years, and maybe three bites. I guess other parts of Phoenix do have them, though.

Minnesota? Land of 10,000 puddles is just, “Bad?”

I’m surprised to find Montana is bad for mosquitoes. I seldom have issues with them. Perhaps it’s worse in the eastern part of the state. 🤷🏻

NOT what I expected. I thought you'd be bragging about LA being the worst. 🫤🤔

Used to have a coworker that claimed a really good hard freeze would kill them off just after I had seen a nature channel program about the mosquito problems in Alaska 🤣

I can’t argue with Alaska being the worst

You ever been to North Dakota in the summer nights? Swarms of pterodactyls.

The mosquitos in AZ are pretty small and wimpy. In MI they tear a hunk out.

That's funny; it seemed a lot worse when I lived in the Northeast than here in northern Alabama. 🤔
