Most of Dante's insults are just normal conversation.

Dante talks to demons the same way one would converse with humans. Likely because Eva taught him to be polite no matter what. The demons he encounters want to be respected as threats.

he mocks them by treating them like they're not a threat to him which passes them off. He's snarky but not throwing quips. He's fucking with them because imagine your a being that has lived thousands of years and killed hundreds for some guy to talk to you like some average dude

Dante very specifically does not take them serious at all, taunts them to rile them up. He does not insult him because he doesn't hate them, he literally does it because its fun to him

The other thing is these are (mostly) snappy, some dont even have Dante talking. Its not wasting ur time only to end in a "ur mom" punchline The best one (not included here) is Nero revving Red Queen to fight Dante & Dante mocking him by doing a little mock rev on Rebellion

He's kinda like Leon from RE. Just snappy quirky one liners but doesn't go to far.

Dante isn’t cool because he hurls slurs but because he has kinda normal conversations WITH GIANT ASS DEMONS.

IMO Nero would definitely say the whole "your mom" thing tho

And where is Dante swearing excessively? In DmC Remake from Ninja Theory. I guess Shankar was misunderstood. When he said he's the fan of DMC he means the Remake and it can explain some problems with this anime. But in fact this anime is just a fanfiction.

I wouldnt say it’s normal conversation, but he’s not always directly insulting them, rather just making jokes about them idk tho I find it hard to really put into words how Dante’s taunts are written, they’re just good
