REAL NEWS: This 40% refers to ALL S4 pupils, including the ones who were NOT presented at N5 level and DID NOT sit the exam. The percentage pass rate of those who DID sit N5 was 68% (a consistent figure over the years) — if you [STVNews] bothered to read the report of course.

Take this embarrassing tweet down. How can pupils who never sat the math's exam be put down as failed. Unionists mouthpiece.

Wow. You escalated this nonsense to an actual report? When it’s already been debunked as deliberately manufactured figures? And you surely knew that?

Can you provide us with the evidence that the pass rate of any exam is calculated as a portion of the the entire population? Can you explain why you have reported this unique definition from a unionist pressure group without question. Or even reported it at all?

It included students who didn’t take the subject as fails. Try harder in your Scotland is crap smears.

Absolutely no thought given to this press release which was accepted and repeated without checking the facts ..Disgraceful - even allowing for less staff on duty during the festive period. The stats are bunkum given they included pupils who didn't sit the exams !!!!!!

Tut tut. Counting pupils who didn't sit the exam, as failures. This misleading bullshit is brought to you by #SleekitTV

A Scottish Government spokesman said: “If the position was as the Commission suggests, we would share their concern; however, not all pupils take their Nat 5s in S4.”

“News” in Scotland goes like this nowadays….. Somebody somewhere sends in a story, a grievance, an opinion, an analysis. The relevant quotes & bulletin points obvious etc. Top it. Tail it. And boom it’s a story. BBC setting the standard for others to follow. #whataboutery

Facts not included when it comes to @STVNews then...
