Most people defending Network School don’t seem to understand what a network state actually is. They think people are against foreign investment. That’s not the issue. The concern is the bigger idea behind it. A network state isn’t just a business. It’s a vision of building communities with their...

@grok who is the girl

The girl in the video is **Ginny** (Ginnysaidso on X and Instagram). She's a content creator known for sharp, often humorous commentary on current events, Malaysia news, politics, and tourism. In this clip she's reacting to the recent controversy and Home Ministry probe into Network School in Forest City, calling out the "island near Singapore" marketing while it's actually in Johor. Classic Ginny style.

exactly. their ideas didnt stop at building tech companies at all. they have their own agenda. no wonder in their promote video they dont ever bother to mention malaysia just "island near singapore" 🤣

I mean this with the greatest respect, I say this because what I'm about to say might seem rude. Read up on Malaysias Federal Constitution. The Malaysian Federal Constitution does not give any state a legal right to secede or become its own country There is no clause that lets Johor or any island unilaterally declare independence. If anyone tried to do it for real it would be a constitutional and political crisis not some “there's someone on Twitter that said so” momen. Yes people can talk nonsense or bring up new ideas on X all day, but that does not mean the perlembagaan quietly gives them a magic exit button. That's not how this country works. Take Singapore as the example. Singapore left Malaysia in 1965 by an Act of Parliament and constitutional amendments at the federal level, effectively an expulsion negotiated and passed by the central government, not a unilateral right exercised by Singapore.

This is crazy. I revoke my support to this kind of ideology.

Yes, but to some extent this is needed to challenge complacent and corrupt governments. Its not black and white "wrong".

I don’t think it’s black and white either. New ideas can challenge governments in positive ways. But when an idea isn’t just about business and starts talking about creating parallel systems of governance, every country has the right to ask questions. Healthy scepticism isn’t opposition. It’s just good governance.

If governments were not so corrupt Network Schools wont achieve anything disruptive to any country. Its for the governments to do better. Not for us to help governments shut down challenges.

Governments should absolutely do better. But “governments can be corrupt” doesn’t automatically mean every alternative deserves a free pass. If a project wants to build parallel institutions with long term political ambitions, it should expect scrutiny too. Accountability shouldn’t apply only to governments.

Your 1st argument was 'people dont know what they were defending' re network school. But ppl do know. Your 2nd argument is they should face scrutiny if suspected of breaking laws. Agree. And so should everyone! the ybs the cronies the datuks the royals. Top to bottom.

It’s really not rocket science 🙄 How will NS establish a physical state & take control the Forest City, legally or violently? They might form a Network State with other tech clusters globally, in a parallel cyber universe. They could even issue passports. Some countries or…

You absolutely don’t know what you are talking about. @ns is seeking secession yet it applied for licenses from the Malaysian govt and facilitated investment into that region? In what way did NS operators behave like deviants?🤷
