Most people dont understand basic entry-level statistics. That includes almost all journalists and the vast majority of the left.

But not all people do this.

🤣

I’m a statistician and I disagree. 1. “Asian men are shorter on average” - shorter than whom? Mexicans? Indians? Whites? 2. Which Asians? Koreans? Chinese? Vietnamese? Thai? Statistically, South Koreans are taller than Spanish, Portuguese or Moldovan people, so the statement is not universal, despite how it might seem. People are free to make general statements, but once their utter “statistically” this becomes a statement about data, and you can’t just state things without providing evidence about what you say. So it’s natural to challenge people when they make sweeping generalizations because even seemingly naive and obvious generalizations turn out to be more complex once thought out thoroughly. Also, data is a LOT of anecdotal evidence, this is often overlooked. Someone who references their experience first before accepting something is arguably more scientific than someone who regurgitates random generalizations without being specific.

But I know someone who has a low IQ who can reason through generalisations!

🤣 of course you do..

It’s called the Naxalt fallacy.

Well stated. Agreed.

Most women do this

Bullshit, and if you believe that then you literally cannot understand the idea of sarcasm or being facetious this is stupid

Thanks for proving the video right.

Making a short sided comment to rebuke a statement cannot determine someone's intelligence antagonists instigators and sarcastic assholes say plenty of shit to get a rise

Ohhh so statistics are always 100% correct? Right right…

Thanks for proving me right.

Mind explaining how? Or you can’t?

He just did it. He just provided exceptions. Did you catch it.

The definition of an *average* is that *it includes ALL exceptions*. The psychology at play here is avoidance of debate on one statistically significant fact, by raising a related but insignificant parallel fact. As if that second fact somehow lessens the first fact. Shows both a misunderstanding of maths, and inability to debate for the sake of greater learning by all participants, and insecurity that all debates or commentary have to have a winner and a loser. The only loss is when the debate is misconstrued as an argument. The high IQ person values all information as adding value to a conversation, including that of the participants comprehension. The lower IQ person is simply relying on the limits of experience and anecdotes, without the breadth of understanding that maths gives. Hence, the broader thinkers lead, and the less interested beyond themselves tend to follow and be easily led. Takes all sorts, though. An abstract thinker may be a terrible musician or artist or linguist, or sometimes we find someone passionate enough to connect all these facets of knowledge. No AI was involved in this reply 😁

Why is bringing up an exception an expression of not understanding the concept of an average. Exceptions are interesting. I point this out because people who think they're smarter than everyone like to use these moments to jump down your throat and feel superior.

Or maybe they just recognize that you are talking about averages with the intention to reduce everyone in that group to a statistic or make some other wrong implication.

Dude generalizes all Asians are short and proceeds to call others dumb for not believing in an obvious fallacy. What an idiot.

Pseudointelectuals will condem an individual over one misunderstanding. Intelligent people seek to find the root of the misunderstanding

This is the dumbest opinion I have heard for a long time. lol

Mfs will say this then have 20 dollars in their bank account being the brokest mfs ik

This is dangerous propaganda. If you can’t see through generalizations presented as absolute truths, you’re already lost. Don’t let anyone, I mean anyone define intelligence for you with oversimplified stereotypes. The real free thinking intelligent rebel challenges these narratives, not blindly accepts them. Many if not most forms of statistics are falsities to push agendas, distorting what’s true. This kind of subtle programming has caused immense harm, globally. Stay critical and question everything.

wrong, high IQ people choose their words carefully and don’t make a blanket or misleading statements. they expect others to do the same.

Most people of the left are low IQ. Most people of the right are low IQ. Most people are low IQ.

most generalizations are retarded and gay

On a first date in Maine a few years ago, I told a story about hiking Mt.Katahdin on a whim. During the story I mentioned the massive granite stair case constructed on parts of the trail. How some truly burly mountain men busted their assess to haul the equipment up, cut and place these slabs in place. Her response?? “It could have been women” I gave a long “yeahhhhhh it “could” have been, but it probably wasn’t” We wrapped shortly after, and being the strong independent female that she was, I split the bill.

This low IQ dumb ass has to read off his phone mind you. 🤡😂 Obsession with IQ indicates low IQ. 👍 No one should regurgitate talking points if they’re going to cope when people call them out.

How would you feel if you couldn’t engage in conditional hypotheticals?

They’re revealing themselves in the comments 😂. They literally CAN’T understand it.

But not all dumb people act like that. You can’t say that!

All debating to this extent is gay

“Asian men are shorter on average” All that explanation of intelligence and the operative words that are being completely ignored is: “on average”. The argument ends when intelligence is used by either party to include context wholly and properly. Both parties are lacking in intelligence…and id argue that the boy running the test is less intelligent by leaps and bounds just for relying on this false line of thinking that’s based on a subjective idealistic model. Happy Hunting!

It’s so funny that this guy talks about how to tell people are low IQ, then admits, well I got everything I know about it from a random Reddit thread.

This is called someone with a higher rate of disagreeableness in psychology. They are always looking for the exception in the statement. ‘The sky is blue’ - ‘it’s more of light blue’ etc. Sales call these people mismatchers. These people typically make more money in life, but can have hard times socializing and making new friends. Studies on IQ would be interesting to look at, but whether it forms concrete data seems it would be selective. You need both people in life, agreeable and disagreeable, this is how better products are made etc. 100% agreeable people might not see flaws and 100% disagreeable might not get anything done. It’s the beauty of life.

Man this video did a fantastic job flushing out the exact people the video describes. Comments section is full of them.

A lot of it does in fact have to do with IQ

All ©️ I don't think whoever said that really understood the issue even though they're on the right track. Saying ‘on average’ already includes exceptions—it’s a built-in acknowledgment of variance. So when someone replies with ‘but I know a tall Asian guy,’ they’re trying to exception the exception, which completely misses the point. That response isn’t a rebuttal; it’s a clear sign of failure to grasp statistical language, distribution, or probabilistic thinking. LisanWay ©™

Not all people don’t understand basic entry-level statistics.

There is a large group of people who think per-capita=racist magic.....I have had conversations with them...they actually believe this
