Absolutely agree. Much of what many white South Africans were taught, especially under apartheid, wasn’t history, it was state-sanctioned mythology designed to justify a system of racial dominance. That kind of programming doesn’t disappear overnight. True progress starts with unlearning the lies and confronting the full, painful truth.

So true. The truly educated white South Africans hated and even fought apartheid. The programmed ones still defend it. They don’t see anything wrong with it or its legacy.
