Ngl $50 to $100 ain’t that much 😭 sis acting like she asking her to go half on the rent.

It’s crazy to me that once your 18 and your parents can’t benefit from you anymore, they start wanting you to pay for the same shit you was getting for free just a month ago.

If you live w your parent and they’re struggling and you can’t help w 10% of your monthly income. Move out and see what the world has to offer you…

$50-100 is gas money. Her mom taking her to and from work, that’s reasonable. Especially since on top of that she living rent free and getting fed.

If moms is struggling financially and you have a job, you should be a good son or daughter and help em out. $50-$100 aint shit. Acting like she asking for half yo check. God forbid you get older and you have to experience this as a parent.

Bro 50-100 ain’t nothin mom lettin her off easy

I hate to take it there, but notice only black people in the comments saying the 18 year old girl gotta pay something. White people don’t do this it’s only on the black culture mfs start acting different when they kid turn 18, I’ll never charge my daughter shit.

Stuff like this reminds me why I need to be kind to my parents because the stuff y'all be going through

I hate parents like this. There’s nothing wrong with asking your kids for help as they get older and live in your house but it’s how you ask & this? This is definitely not the way it’s actually traumatizing..

“asked” seems like a stretch looks and SOUNDS like she screaming at that girl

Honestly, the mom isn’t wrong for asking. Teaching financial responsibility early is important,$50, $100 isn’t rent, it’s a life lesson. If the daughter is working and using the home’s resources (food, electricity, Wi-Fi, etc.), contributing a little helps her understand what adulthood costs. That said, the mom should also make it clear this isn’t about money , it’s about preparing her for independence, not punishing her for living at home.

This isn't teaching someone financial literacy, it's passing down the struggle smh

My kids do not pay for anything. Doesn’t mean I don’t teach them about money management. Stop taking money from your kids that you don’t need. If you are paying your bills already let them get the head start in life they need. I do not need their money but I want them to be good when it’s time for them to move.

There’s just no need for all this yelling.

Ns if your struggling mother ask you for 50-100 dollars to help her out from time to time why can’t we just do that? If you make at least 15 dollars an hour and work a decent schedule 50 dollars a month ain’t nothing we literally blow more then that on DoorDash WEEKLY😂

Single mothers are the one of the most uselesss and mentally unstable people in the world.

Sis went to work, got paid and said to her momma:

if your she’s giving you rides to work, and buying your food, and you’re a grown adults — ITS COMMON COURTESY to obviously help your own fucking mom out with her own expenses that she spent 18 years to afford. idk context, but COMMON COURTESY is OBVIOUSLY a thing

I might be the wrong parent to ask my wife had to make me stop paying my daughter’s car note. That’s because the kid does what she’s supposed to do for crying out loud she’s been working with autistic children since her sophomore year college. Now she’s a teacher and in grad school and still doing the exact same thing that type of devotion deserves to be rewarded. Then she’s talking about starting a support group for mothers and fathers with autistic children.

Seems like her mother didn’t plan life out right. Can’t stand this shit

$100 is not shit

I don't know. These are always tough. I learned a lot of good lessons. But one of the best lessons they taught me was that I couldn't live anywhere for free. It has always served me well in maintaining my independence when many others have fallen in life. That's me though.

She wrong $50-$100 is literally nothing if all the rest of the bills are being taken care of and you’re an adult. I hate people who like to see their parents struggle and are adding to it.

Simple solution: Find your own place to stay. See if that white man lets you pay $50 a month.

Kids today have ZERO respect and they play victim with every single thing … ur a fucking adult..U jsut want to live free for the rest of your life? WITH A JOB? People who disagree are those types too

Not what happened but okay

The daughter is wrong. She’s reacting like a spoiled brat. When I went to college, I was SHOCKED at the amount of young people who did not know how to take care of themselves. They did not know BASIC life skills. I’ve always commended my parents for the way they introduced us to responsibilities and prepared us for the world. My mother used to always lead with, “me and dad won’t always be here…God forbid something happens to us, we want you all to know how to survive on your own.” You cripple your children when you don’t prepare them for the real world. I started working at 13. Once you had a job, my mother made us “pay bills.” The “bills” were buying our own hygiene items and necessities, and $20 a month for “utilities.” 😂 It’s funny to me now, but it was a really great technique. They taught us about bank accounts, savings, credit unions, bills, etc. By the time I got to college, I was fully prepared to enter the real world. The fact that the daughter is having a mental breakdown because her MOTHER asked her for gas money is insane. Her reaction is proof that she doesn’t have a clue about life. She doesn’t comprehend that every bite of food, every time she flushes the toilet, every time she washes or wipes her ass…it all COSTS! She’s living under her mother’s roof for FREE as an adult with a job. The LEAST she can do is contribute to the household SHE lives in. $50-$100 isn’t SHIT.

Working 18 year old daughter? That’s not bad in my opinion, you can easily get your own privacy if you’re not okay with that. lmao

Yall talking about 50-100 ain't enough, but yall don't know if 100 is all she making. No parent should ask their teenage child to pay for nothing, SPECIALLY the way she talking to the girl 👎🏾

Im sorry but If your mom has been taking care of of you for 18 years and you refuse to give her a lil money every month while still living with her you a bitch

I HATE MAMAS THAT HAVE YOU OUT THEY PUSSY AND COUNT LIVING W THEM AS A RESPONSIBILITY EXPENSE. Like WTF,

The black ppl defending this is exactly why black folks will always be 100 years behind ! I hate this type of parenting. It does not teach you responsibility, especially when you meet other ppl your age, whom parents don’t do this to them !!!

Just help her dang!!! It’s easy to help your mom out then living out on your own Trust me yu will be begging to come back home with the cost of living on your own!

Girl $100 ain’t shhh you gone be begging to pay that $100 when you move on your own. Give your mama some damn money🤣
