i personally think this set is quite weak compared to crankys dockside delivery, the automation on that one is insane!!! not a bad set though.

I would disagree cranky automation is quite weak and didn’t always pick up the cargo as intended this one whist you have to put the cargo into Owen is part of the charm your minding the rock Yanno

I prefer the automation of Crankys dockside delivery over having to place/drop the boulder manually at each spot but whatever.

Cranky was so much weaker compared to this preference I guess

I mean isn’t that kinda the point with this set the user/kid is mining for stuff so I’d find it’s more interactive especially if your got move the mining to uncover what’s under the rock. Similar to the Tidmouth shed where you gotta move the cleaners in the shed

So it's also powered by Thomas, Interesting I betcha with a little loosening up, It could lift the cargo a little faster

Still can't believe Owen exists in The Railway Stories Universe.

It looks nice. Questions, Does the boulder drop work is going the opposite way ? What are your issues with the cranky set ? Mine works perfectly fine most of the time. I had a bent switch that made truck to drop the cargo but I solved by just swapping the switch.

The cargo when dropped into cranky hold is so weakly have to push it down most the time and it doesn’t swivel around to drop the cargo in properly like it works but not the best this it’s easier to operate and set up and I haven’t tried doing it the opposite way

Interesting. I believe that the entire motorized line did not got tested properly. Saw a clip of Salty not being compatible with cranky set, motorized engines get stuck on the windmill.

I kind of do think the truck should've had a tipper side like the Cranky set, so that the rock could go back in, or just place it on a coal bin (without coal) but that's just me

They should've made the truck tiltable, like in the old sets.
