Love it, but you need more than just 2 death animations

To be honest, the only thing I kinda hope for more in the final game is the ability to do deal with more cartoony logic. Like dealing with traps, wacky weaponry or if you can get/give statuses that change your/enemy behavior for a moment. Though still looks cool regardless.

This could benefit a lot from more comedic death animations like turning into a floating angle and flying up, getting X eyes and holding a flower maybe, turning into a tombstone, all those silly old timy cartoon things. Great concept with a lot of potential. Good luck 👍
