We Support the Boycott of the Cricket Team : Despite the severe restrictions on sports, the systematic enforcement of gender apartheid, and widespread human rights violations by the Taliban, the Afghanistan cricket team has failed to take any steps in support of the Afghanistan people—especially women—over the past three years. Instead, they have directly or indirectly contributed to legitimizing and whitewashing the self-proclaimed Taliban regime. Such actions have tarnished the national identity of the team, leading many Afghanistan citizens to refer to it as the “Taliban Cricket Team.” While the achievements and reputation of the national cricket team are a national asset belonging to the citizens of Afghanistan, the team has been systematically exploited by the Taliban to advance their illegitimate and sinister objectives. This betrayal of national interests not only undermines the people of Afghanistan but also strengthens the Taliban's oppressive policies. We call for increased pressure and the imposition of comprehensive and meaningful sanctions on all parties and individuals lobbying for the Taliban or otherwise contributing to the whitewashing of this group. We firmly believe that the national interests of Afghanistan cannot be served through engagement with the Taliban or by legitimizing them. Instead, the true national interest lies in the overthrow of the Taliban’s self-imposed and illegitimate regime and the liberation of the Afghanistan people—especially women, vulnerable ethnic groups, and religious minorities—from their oppression. Therefore, we, as female athletes inside Afghanistan, support the boycott of the Afghanistan cricket team. We urge the International Cricket Council (ICC) and its members to take decisive and firm actions to prevent the Taliban from using this team as a tool for propaganda and to strengthen their political and media presence. We call upon all international organizations, sports institutions, and countries that uphold human values and justice to impose strong and comprehensive pressure on the Taliban and their supporters and to refrain from recognizing the self-declared Taliban regime. We emphasize that the Taliban are neither reformable nor capable of meaningful dialogue with the Afghanistan people. Any opportunity granted to this group amounts to endorsing systemic oppression and committing a grave injustice against the Afghanistan people. #Right_Justice_Freedom Committee for Health and Sports the purple Saturdays Movement Date: January 18, 2025

Hello Joe Rogan — Over $40 million is flown to Afghanistan weekly. This has been going on since the Taliban’s takeover during the Biden Administration. Pallets of U.S. cash are flown by chartered jets into Afghanistan. It’s then auctioned by the Taliban’s Central Bank and converted into Afghani currency. The converted cash is then distributed to local and international NGOs. All NGOs operating in Afghanistan are licensed by the Taliban. They pay taxes and fees to the Taliban. Their employees are vetted by the Taliban’s intelligence. The NGOs purchase goods and services only from a list of pre-approved Taliban businesses. Areas with Taliban supporters receive multiple rounds of aid, while the anti-Taliban communities get little to none. We have even documented multiple cases of U.S. cash and aid reaching the families of Taliban fighters and suicide bombers. We exposed the cash shipments to the Taliban with the help of Shawn Ryan. It led to the No Tax Dollars For Terrorists Act introduced by Rep. Tim Burchett Press Office. This legislation passed the House on June 23, 2025, and almost a year later, the U.S. Senate and Senator John Thune have still not voted on it. Our legislation (H.R. 260) will make it mandatory to report all cash shipments to Afghanistan and then defund the Taliban. They are a terrorist group. They don’t deserve a penny. Thank you for having Tim Burchett on your show. He’s the real deal. God bless. Joe Rogan

Very Important Update Some Taliban-friendly staffers at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee are quietly making changes to our legislation that is supposed to defund the Taliban. The primary staffer involved is Thomas West, who lost his security clearance in August 2025. At President Trump’s direction, the Director of National Intelligence revoked his clearance for “politicization or weaponization of intelligence,” failure to safeguard classified information, and other “detrimental” conduct. Before joining the Senate as a Democratic staffer, Thomas West served as the Biden administration’s Special Representative to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, where he politicized intelligence, manipulated assessments, and whitewashed the Taliban. Thomas West joined the Democratic staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee only one month before the House of Representatives passed our No Tax Dollars For Terrorists Act. The bill was referred to that very Committee on June 23, 2025, where Thomas West has since been allowed to block it from advancing to a full Senate vote and is editing the legislation. The current edits include removing the two most important clauses: 1. Removing mandatory reporting to Congress on U.S. dollar and Afghani cash shipments that benefit the Taliban. 2. Removing mandatory reporting on NGOs that hire Taliban members, purchase goods and services from Taliban businesses, distribute aid to the Taliban fighters, whose NGO licenses were issued by the Taliban, and whose employees were vetted by the Taliban’s intelligence. The No Tax Dollars For Terrorists Act is meaningless without these two clauses. If there is no obligation to report it, taxpayer money will continue flowing to the Taliban. Thomas West is deliberately creating loopholes. He does not want to defund the Taliban. He openly advocates for increased U.S. government engagement with the Taliban. He has called them technocrats, sincere, and professionals. He continues treating the Taliban as a legitimate counterterrorism partner of the United States. Thomas West still maintains communications with senior Taliban and Haqqani Network members even though he is no longer the U.S. Representative to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. Thomas West is a Democratic staffer but the Foreign Relations Committee is Republican-controlled and led by Chairman James Risch of Idaho. This should not be tolerated. The Taliban is a terrorist group. Thomas West cannot be allowed to edit a bill intended to Defund the Taliban. Personally, I believe he should not even be near the Senate building or sensitive information after his security clearance was revoked. Please help spread this. Investigate and verify every claim for yourself. I am grateful for your support. Thank you. Shawn Ryan Rep. Tim Burchett Press Office
