BREAKING: Trump's illegal tariffs are about to cause a huge mess in the US Economy. Why? "A coalition of 800 small businesses across the country who weren't happy about the tariffs saying they were the ones paying the brunt of these costs. They just put out a statement saying they are sending immediate letters to the white house and congress demanding full, fast and automatic tariff refunds. Marc Andreessen on handling a crisis: “There are no silver bullets, only lead bullets” Marc reflects on his partner Ben Horowitz’s essay “Lead Bullets”: “There’s this temptation - especially when you get into crisis - to think there must be a magic answer or some stroke of genius [similar to Sherlock Holmes]…. There’s this really strong tendency to think that that’s out there. And we see a lot of entrepreneurs cycle through different silver bullets that don’t work. Ben’s point is the answer is probably in firing a whole bunch of lead bullets.” Marc explains: “The answer is probably the engineers working later at night for six months and getting the next version of the product out. And the answer is probably for the sales reps to go call on twice as many customers and try to close more deals… I’ve certainly come around to that point of view a lot.” In other words, there rarely a silver bullet that solves all your problems. So don’t waste a lot of time looking for one. Instead, identify the few key drivers of success for your business and do them extremely well. Here’s a brief excerpt from Ben’s essay: “There may be nothing scarier in business than facing an existential threat. So scary that many in the organization will do anything to avoid it. They will look for any alternative, any way out, any excuse not to live or die in a single battle… There comes a time in every company’s life where it must fight for its life. Chris Finch was asked about why Josh Minott has been removed from the rotation in recent games, and he said, “His activity offensively has been great. We’ve got to get him back in the rotation. But his defense has just been trending the wrong way, particularly game plan personnel mistakes and fouling. Those are inexcusable ones.” The last game Minott played in was against New York. I asked Finch before that New York game (video below) if Minott was going to be part of the solution for replacing DiVincenzo’s minutes, and he said Minott would be in the rotation “for sure”. So that leads me to believe these game plan personnel mistakes happened in that New York game. This play happened during his final minutes of that game — he does clearly lose track of Bridges (though, I will say, it did look like Bridges was checked out from the possession with his hands in his hips — nice bluff if it was). I didn’t see anything else egregious in the Wolves’ defensive possessions when Minott was out there during that final stint. Though I did notice Minott was pulled abruptly a few minutes after this possession — and exactly one possession after Rob Dillingham checked in. So my working theory here is basically that Finch doesn’t want to play Minott and Dillingham at the same time. I go back to the clip below from before the Knicks game, where Finch said Dillingham was going to get an opportunity and that Minott was going to be in the rotation for sure. My guess would be that Finch liked what he saw from Dillingham in that opportunity against New York, and then going forward made a decision, perhaps with some clarity on DDV’s injury, to lean into Dillingham the next few games (18 minutes against CLE, 18 against MEM) at the expense of Minott’s playing time — because it was hard for him to play them both but not at the same time.

I think he's wrong: A lot has changed since 2016, or even in the last year. We've had 5 years of Trump now. We've seen Trump bitch out on his promises to cut spending, drain the swamp, and stop foreign interventionalism. Trump, and his whole camp, have destroyed their reputation. 2028 is the absolutely PERFECT timing for a Thomas Massie for Congress, especially if he can keep his seat in 2026 after all of Trump's attempts to get rid of him. His profile has never been higher, he'll be entering the 2027 primary season with momentum, and a huge swath of influential pundits on the internet--both on the right and left--will be fully behind him. He will have the full force of the anti-establishment energy that Trump seized on behind him. JD Vance has to run on Trump's track record, and there will be massive vulnerabilities there. Mr. Massie, I implore you to reconsider.

One is the informal board meeting and then followed by the formal board meeting. In both meetings, the Pakistan Cricket Board's chairperson, Mr Mohsin Naqvi, was present. I represented BCCI. During the formal meeting, there was no discussion of this issue because it was not on the agenda. However, at our request, the ICC has facilitated a meeting between Mr Naqvi and me on the sidelines of the board meeting. We had a cordial discussion on the issue. Both sides had understood that this had to be sorted out. Both sides are positive to sort it out at the earliest possible time. So the first step has been taken. So we'll be working on various options for settling it, solving the problem, and breaking the stalemate. So in the coming days, these options will be provided by either side, and we'll work it out with the intermediary part played by one of the senior persons of ICC. So in the coming days, I'm sure with some positive, definitely some positive results is going to come. So we must have a little patience. We are working on it. The other side is also working on it so that the whole thing is settled in a very amicable manner..."
