Himes: You have two choices when people on your side do things that are wrong. You can call them out, you can stand with principle, and you can be clear. That's what leaders do. Or you can obfuscate and try to change history, try to suggest that what we all saw and experienced, traumatically, wasn't what we all saw and experienced. You can make stuff up, like maybe the F.B.I. Instigated it. Maybe it was really Nancy Pelosi's responsibility. Maybe it was antifa. Oh, gosh, maybe the people who assaulted 140 police officers were just like tourists. That is not the way of leadership. That is some dark, dark and evil way of proceeding. Why? Because it dishonors the truth on which the stability of this republic relies. And maybe just as importantly it dishonors all of us who were there that day… worst of all, it dishonors the brave men and women who put their lives on the line that day to protect us. Those of us who put up the signs on our office doors saying, thank you, capitol police. Only to turn around and remain silent when the attackers of the capitol police were pardoned on Monday. These are people who put their lives on the line to protect us and the democracy. I think it's worth spending a minute or two, Mr. Speaker, to remind us who these people were and what happened.

JUST IN: Georgia man has been arrested for threatening to murder Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and her family. The man claimed to be a large donor to MTG before launching numerous threats. In a recording of the call, the man can be heard telling one of MTG's staffers he had "a sniper rifle" and had plans to "kill her next week." "Hey, I’m a major donor. Yeah, I got a bead on her. Like a sniper rifle. A sniper rifle. And I’m gonna kill her next week. I’m gonna murder her." "’m gonna shoot her in the f****** head and kill her. Ok? Tell the FBI. Ok? I’m gonna kill this c***. Tell her. I’ll kill you too, if you want," he added. The staffer responded "where are you calling from, sir?" "I’m calling from f*** yourself you f*****. F*** your party! Your grandchildren are gonna f****** die! Die! Die," the agitated caller replied. After the staffer asked if the man was "coming here now" the man exploded with more explicit-filled and also racially-charged threats. "You f****** sellout c***, you little d*ck f****** white boy c***. You little d*ck f****** white boy! Taking money! Taking money! You little b****! You don’t think you’re gonna get payback?!" "You’re gonna die! Your family is gonna die! C***. You don’t think it’s gonna happen when you’re out of power," he added. The caller was identified as Sean Patrick Cirillo and was arrested by the FBI. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. This is the second Georgia Republican who has received threats of violence this week. Earlier this week, Rep. Rich McCormick temporarily shut down one of his district offices following "serious threats of violence" that had been launched against his staffers. Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN) says he's been told that the "code words" in the Epstein Files refer to things that are incomprehensibly "gruesome" and "Satanic." He doesn't clarify how he went about "decoding" the files, or what "code words" he believes correlate to what gruesome Satanic act. However, he does invoke the Old Testament, so maybe we can all consult that for clues. Just in case you thought members of Congress were any more sophisticated on this stuff than the average social media freak.

You have the legal right to record police in a public place. I encourage every Aussie to do so to keep them in line. “Do you know why we stopped you?” This is a trap. They ask you this to try and get an admission of the crime. Even if you were speeding never admit to it and just say “no idea, perhaps you can tell me”.
