They're never consistent, are they? Colonisation is 'bad' and we're terrible because our ancestors colonised...but also, they want to colonise because it's OK when they do it. In any case, I don't really even consider mass migration to be colonisation because they're not actually bringing anything new, nor seeking to spread civilisation, or to establish new nations. They're just coming to leech off nations built by others, and when they've extracted all the resources they can, they will simply move on to the next place. Colonisation actually BUILT countries. Mass migration does nothing of the sort.
