It´s normal, some of Canary islands are very high. I.e. La Palma is the third highest island in the world in respect to size. Canary Islands have "microweathers" so in same day you can go to snow and also to the beach. Since many years call them "a miniature continent". Thanks!!

That looks beautyful! But it is normal in winter for the Canary Islands?

Yes the one sadness Tenerife has is that the volcano has never had enough snow on it all year round, so people could ski and then go sunbath by the beach. I have often thought this as I enjoy the sun and look at Mt. Teide with its snow capped top.

Interesting fact. There are no canaries on the Canary Islands. Same with the Virgin Islands. No canaries there either.

Something so contradictory about "canary islands" and "snow" ... just... no. Only sunshine and bright colors!

😀

I had comparable weather conditions when I drove through the Canadas de Tenerife in Dec. 1983. Only it was dark and the one-lane road was sloping left and right! That's the only time my ex-husband, who did NOT have a driver's license (!), didn't give any driving /2

What a climate change at a tropical island!!

Is that Tenerife??!
