Much respect to Tommy Davidson. I had no idea until watching this that he was found as an infant, buried under trash, by his adoptive mother. Someone who makes us laugh so effortlessly as one of the greatest comedians. Just shows how powerful the human spirit is.

One of my faves is when he imitated Arsenio Hall as “Varnel Hill” on Martin. LOL. He really had me rolling. To hear him talk about being buried alive under trash and spending two months as an infant in the hospital to survive…wow.

I remember reading about Richard Pryor talking about signing an autograph for a man who raped them when they were kids. People that can harness laughter from hurt are really gifts to the rest of us.

every time i hear this story of him by him it hits heavy. But i will forever remember and laugh at when he was telling the story on breakfast club and said this when he came face to face with that "Nigga wake up call" moment growing up....😂😂

Funny when they come in aggressive. So I simply just match their energy. Then all of a sudden it is a problem? Here is where I had to inform muslims about how their prophet told an adoptive mother to suckle her adult son because Muhammad wanted to marry his daughter-in-law (wife of his adopted son)! Long story short, he removed the idea that adopted sons should be treated the same as a biological son. So many women (who were mothers effectively before this ruling), started covering around their sons. So Muhammad told a mother to suckle her son to make him "family" again. She found it weird because he was an adult, but that didn't stop Muhammad!
