This is a powerful committee as it deals with drinking water and water resources across the country. The scope is wide. On drinking water, the Prime Minister’s strong initiative—the Jal Jeevan Mission—aims to provide safe water to every household. The Government of India has allocated Rs 8 lakh crore for its implementation nationwide. Kerala has performed well in earlier reviews, and it is expected to benefit further from this mission. If both states are equal to you& telugu people shud develop” Don’t object to Kalwakurthy, Bhima, Nettampadu, Dindi, Koilsagar Palamuru Rangareddy projects which were started during ur tenure as CM and LoP I will be CM for 10years. My only wish is for KCR to come to assembly and see the development happening in our regime.

Gujarat: Under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the Gujarat government, through the ‘Sujalam Sufalam Yojana’ and ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign, has removed over 221 lakh cubic metres of silt from reservoirs, canals, rivers and other water bodies between 2022-23 and 2024-25, surpassing the target of 203 lakh cubic metres. The desilting and restoration work was carried out at 1,474 locations across the state with the help of heavy machinery. In Junagadh’s Manavadar taluka, a Rs 6.5 crore project to deepen and expand Dagad and Jambuda lakes is underway, which is expected to increase water storage capacity by nearly three times and improve irrigation and drinking water supply for nearby villages and farmlands.

This may come as a shock to a lot of people… but this woman and her family intentionally flood their entire backyard to water their trees and grass. It’s called flood irrigation — they literally let the whole yard fill up with water on purpose. She walks through and shows just how full it gets, and says people are always surprised this is how they do it. The water is untreated canal water (not city drinking water) that’s specifically allocated for this purpose. Have you ever seen (or used) flood irrigation like this? I've never seen or heard of this before.

3 Strong Reasons to Say NO to the Bankacherla Project 🚫 1. Historical Betrayal of Telangana’s Water Rights • For the last three decades, CM Chandrababu Naidu has consistently opposed every irrigation project meant for Telangana. • As per the law, Telangana is legally entitled to 968 TMC of Godavari water. CBN must publicly acknowledge this and immediately withdraw his objection to Telangana’s rightful share. 2. Bankacherla is Illegal Without a Scientific Water Assessment • The Godavari Tribunal has already allocated 968 TMC to Telangana and 512 TMC to Andhra Pradesh. • Any project must be taken up only after a scientific and committee-based analysis of Assured and Surplus water. • Based on this assessment, Telangana is entitled to 65% and Andhra to 35% of further allocations. No project can be approved before this process is completed. 3. Telangana’s Krishna Water Share is Still Denied • Telangana is yet to receive 45 TMC of Krishna water as per the 1980 Tribunal, post bifurcation. Why is CBN silent on this injustice? • When 80 TMC of water is diverted from Polavaram to Krishna, the legal share is: Telangana – 45 TMC, Karnataka – 21 TMC, Maharashtra – 14 TMC. • If diversion exceeds 80 TMC, Pro Rata distribution must apply. • CBN now wants to illegally draw 200 TMC, which means Telangana's share should increase to 157 TMC. We challenge you, CBN, to follow the Tribunal’s ruling. We say NO to Bankacherla because it is unconstitutional, unjust, and a betrayal of Telangana’s farmers and future generations.
