Mudvayne “Dig”

@rt_yourfavbands

Frantic chaos and the sound of a bass hitting you straight in the ribs with the force of pure nu-metal. 👹🎸 🤔 Fun fact: Ryan Martinie’s iconic bass tone was achieved using a technique called "flamenco slapping" and extremely low action strings. During the video shoot, the makeup was so heavy and thick that the band members could barely breathe or see their instruments. 🎨🔥 Necessary visual impact or should the music speak for itself?

@rt_yourfavbands One of the coolest music videos ever. Too bad they fell off after this album

@rt_yourfavbands This is pretty much my early 20's summed up. Not the makeup or anything, just the music, the attitude, and the chaos. I had so much fun in the 90's and early 2000's.

@rt_yourfavbands I used to think of this and laugh at THE most inoppritune times.

@rt_yourfavbands I always felt like this song was some kind of Bizarro variant of "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" by Primus. I can't really explain why, so I'll simply share this very lazily assembled proof of concept and hope that it gets my point across.
