Multiculturalism is a failed concept. It has never worked, and it never will. Especially when it involves dominant cultures like the Islamic one. Multiculturalism does not only mean kebab and sushi. It also means child marriage, honor killings, and female genital mutilation.

Multiculturalism works if the people share the same values and strive towards the same goal. Otherwise it doesn’t work. That’s why it doesn’t work in Sweden, we have so many different cultures and they all despise each other

@ingridcarlqvist The remedy for multiculturalism is ethnonationalism. It is more naturalistic and doesn't go against people's innate preferences. If every body politic had this philosophy, horrific third world issues would be confined to their own areas.

We had the Balkan wars, an ethnic conflict in its purest form, and this between people that are not that unlike each other. How the politicians think that this will work in the long run, when we now have increased violence, with people far more different than us is beyond me.

Spot on! We should start by defining the word culture. For me it's based on a set of fundamental values which describes how people should or can live, and further on reflects how the society is run. If people can start understanding this, there is hope for progress.

The idea of Multiculturalism is not bad, I myself live in a western country for almost 20 years now. The idea is that you must respect and embrace the culture of your host country and if you do not like it and cannot embrace it, then do not try to migrate to it.

Behind the paper-thin facade of nice shops, exotic dishes, colorful clothing and cheerful or melancholic music, there are often very tough cultures that are held together with silence, shame and blood feud...
