And he went from year to year in circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh…” — 1 Samuel 7:15–16 This is not a foreign story. This is the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people — written in our Bible, carried in our memory, and alive under our feet.

Some Jewish communities in America and Europe have been fighting against Zionism since its emergence until today. Unfortunately, people think that all Jews are Zionists, but this is wrong. Especially Mea Shearim, an old Jewish neighborhood in Jerusalem before the establishment of Israel, is home to the largest anti-Zionist and anti-Israeli Jewish community in the Holy Land, and these Jews call themselves Palestinians. Israel is a false state fueled by anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism is a useful weapon for Zionism. If you attack every Jew you see by calling them a Zionist, this means supporting Israel and Zionist gangs. You are unknowingly serving Israel with this behavior. Israel is trying to exploit such incidents to bring all Jews to Israel. An IRGC-affiliated terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Apparently, their actual target was not the ambulances but the Machzike Hadath synagogue next door. They have previously attacked synagogues in Liège and Greece on Wednesday, as well as carrying out an arson attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam. They claim they chose the synagogue because of a century-old link with a rabbi who later moved to Israel, though he was not, as they claim, the “first chief rabbi of Israel.” The synagogue itself is certainly not a “main bastion of support for Israel,” but a small local synagogue used mostly by ultra-Orthodox Jews. The Jewish and Persian-exile communities in the UK have been begging the government to make the IRGC illegal in the UK due to its persistent and credible terror threats against British citizens. They pleaded with the police to deal with activists who have been using their platforms on IRGC-sponsored media to spread deranged conspiracies about Jews in Britain, specific schools and synagogues, and even individual families. But the police failed to act, and when Jewish groups attempted private prosecutions against these psychopaths, the CPS and the courts failed too. They failed—and now this.

In the past hours, grave reports have been coming in of many injured and missings and dozens of shacks set on fire in Mukhmas by settler terrorists. We must not stay silent, we must not get used to this, and we must not allow neo-Nazi scums backed by the government and the occupation forces to terrorize, loot, burn, and kill. We demand immediate protection for Palestinians and for the activists on the ground, the prosecution of the terrorists, and the removal of the government of blood. This is what they fear most: people putting old divisions aside and standing together. While some continue to dig into the past in an attempt to reignite sectarian tensions and keep communities divided, more and more people are choosing to focus on the challenges of the present and the future. Catholics and Protestants have far more in common than what separates them. Across Northern Ireland people are beginning to see through the politics of division and are finding common ground on the issues that affect their families, communities and way of life. Unity does not mean forgetting the past. It means refusing to let it be used against us. A people united is far stronger than a people divided.
