These people are sloganising about the wonder of Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the Awami League and the prime minister of Bangladesh responsible for all this. Members of the Bangladeshi diaspora in Paris and Seoul staged protests and condemned the killings of students in Bangladesh by Sheikh Hasina's government and security forces, demanding her immediate resignation. Similar protests have taken place in multiple major cities around the world. From 16th July until today, 168 people have lost their lives. Among the dead are mostly university students, who were shot by members of the Bangladesh police and RAB, while some were hacked to death by ruling party student wing members.

Blasts were reported in Malibagh, Agargaon, Mohakhali, Jatrabari, Babubazar, Moghbazar and near Bangladesh Television (BTV). A bus was also set on fire outside Kafrul Police Station. A rickshaw driver was injured in a Jatrabari blast. Police are collecting CCTV footage to identify those responsible. The incidents came hours after 23 people were arrested on suspicion of militancy during a reported secret meeting at Tejgaon College. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and the suspects’ links are still being verified.
