Just completed a surprise visit to District Okara - Patients at DHQ Okara raised concerns about the lack of free medicines. DC Okara will conduct an inquiry with a 24-hour deadline. -Keeping in view the shortage , 15 new dialysis machines for DHQ Okara are en route from the Punjab government. -Development work of Gymkhana will be completed by year end. -DC Okara has been asked to submit details of all on going projects so that funding issues may be resolved and the projects can be completed as early as possible. Much appreciation for DC and DPO for working proactively and keeping track of all the issues of the district.

Dear Praful Pansheriya, You are the Health Minister of Gujarat. A 5 year old girl died after food poisoning in Surat, and suddenly the department woke up and started raiding restaurants and cafes. In just 24 hours: - 330 restaurants raided - 208 had hygiene related issues That is 63%. 63% is not a small number. It shows how badly food safety is being taken. There seems to be no fear of FSSAI or the health department. Unsafe food is being sold openly. ₹4,70,500 fine collected. But what after that? Will these restaurants simply pay the fine and continue doing the same thing tomorrow? I have posted multiple times about unhygienic practices by restaurants in Surat. Many others have raised the same concerns. But no one cares enough to take any action. MAKE GUJARAT SAFE.

Press Release : Today, AIMSA-FMSW & AFA,FMGs along with Faculties held a peaceful protest at the NBEMS OFFICE & at JANTAR MANTAR regarding the sudden increase in the difficulty level of the FMGE examination and the poor facilities reported at multiple examination centres. Inadequate infrastructure and an unfavorable examination environment caused unnecessary stress and disturbance to candidates during the exam. We believe these factors, along with the unexpected rise in difficulty, contributed to the unusually low FMGE pass percentage this session the lowest seen in several years. During the meeting, we demanded transparency in the FMGE examination process, accountability for the issues faced by candidates, and a one-time reduction in the qualifying marks considering the exceptional circumstances. We also strongly raised concerns regarding the poor facilities provided at various examination centres. In response, NBEMS informed us that it will constitute a three-member committee to examine the concerns related to the examination. They also stated that they will coordinate with TCS, review the available evidence, including CCTV footage and reports from examination centres, and take appropriate steps to ensure that such issues do not recur in future FMGE examinations. Regarding the demand for a one-time reduction in the FMGE qualifying marks, NBEMS stated that such a decision is beyond its authority and can only be taken by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. We sincerely urge the authorities to ensure that the issues faced during this examination are not repeated in the future. We also reiterate our demand for greater transparency in the FMGE process, including the release of the question paper and answer key, so that candidates can have confidence in the evaluation process and their results. The Teok-Sivasagar Highway is an important road in the Jorhat region, critical for boosting connectivity. Work for several portions of the road has been ‘ongoing’ for the past several years. The condition of the road is deplorable. From frequent accidents to long traffic jams, this portion is affected with several issues. Several contractors have been brought in and left the job mid-way. Multiple tenders of work have been issued, to no effect. People are facing severe inconvenience. I urge Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari to intervene and take immediate action. Shri Gadkari has visited Jorhat in the recent past. I’m optimistic that he will take the necessary steps to ensure work is completed at the earliest and people don’t have to suffer indiscriminately.
