But let’s be clear: this kind of bravery should never be required of our educators or our children. Our kids’ leading killer is gun violence. We cannot just praise courage—we must match it with action, and stand up to stop these tragedies.

Gun-free zones don’t stop shooters, they create victims. At Brown University, students were stripped of their Second Amendment rights. Just one armed student could have saved lives, neutralized the gunman, and avoided the manhunt.
