That’s why you need to find a producer that understands your style and lock in for life. You can source a beat or two from outside your camp but your main core production team should be readily available to you & you should own all the equipments in the studio.

When it's a big artist , production and mastering and mixing is usually done for free because the credit and the publishing share are enough ! Not to mention the publicity they get from being on someone like Beyoncé or Drake's album ! Also A listers usually have their own studio

I see why a lot of artist make a lot of songs and keep them I wonder if they do multiple songs as much as they can in a full day and keep the songs for whenever they want to drop them instead of keep going in to pay pay pay

Have finished album with no money to record & invest in it. Being solo middle class in this economy with an expensive passion feels like an impossible mountain to climb.

I love when artists or labels give fools outside the industry a REALITY CHECK. This is how most new artists go broke quickly. They just think they sing or rap and sell the song, make millions and wallah! They don’t care about costs. That is the label’s problem, not theirs. Sure!
