It was an unspoken social pact that honored life experience and age. Somewhere along the line, that balance shattered. The society watched a shift take... hold where belittling, abusing, or even laying hands on an elder was rebranded as a badge of honor, a performative flex celebrated under the guise of “GETHU”. A 15 year old boy was hired to shovel part of a driveway for a local business. He spent hours doing it with a shovel. When it was time to pay up, the worker just offered him a plate of food instead of the $100 that they originally agreed upon. It wasn’t until the video was posted on social media and the owner received massive backlash from the community that he spoke out and claimed it was an employee that did it and offered to pay the boy. If this is true, should the person who did it be fired, or is he just saving face at this point?

Man, the more I watch old footage, the more I realize Michael Jackson was an absolute phenomenon a true once in a generation talent. There are moments in his performances where his movement, his control, his charisma it all feels so superhuman that you genuinely start to wonder if he was built different. Like he wasn’t playing by the same rules as the rest of us.🤦🏾‍♂️ And then you remember he was only 17 years old when he was doing all of that. Just a teenager. That level of greatness at such a young age is honestly insane. What a gift he was to the world 😮‍💨
