✨ Progress on my drone sim 🚁 Drone of War: Removed my old giant city FBX, because 1) it wasn't made by AI, 2) it was way too big Made the scenery a sandy war land now and just generating my own 3d assets now with Cursor and Tripo (sponsors of #vibejam) Also removed the drone sound, I thought a drone operator probably doesn't hear the drone sound anyway (only if it's near them) and I was inspired by Denis Bondarev to add some sine wave sounds and it made some buddhist type dings that I really like The paradox of war + buddhist sounds is kinda interesting combo, there's something disturbing about drone warfare where it's just people remotely controlling it I wanted to capture that in a game Also added real soldiers models (also generated), they're static though, but they do move, but I need to make them move somehow, not sure how yet, soldiers shoot at you and try take you down Also need to add tanks and other military vehicles that drive around And then I need to add more of a gameplay element, I still think about multiplayer where you choose to be either a drone or a soldier/tank/etc so it's drone vs everyone else! P.S. I can't participate in the #vibejam as the organizer of course but I still like to make some fun games just for fun and to show the tools!

I've been building on #threejs since 2015. Back then there was no InstancedMesh, no BatchedMesh. Most of the tools we take for granted today didn't exist. In 2017, while developing Jamir, I started building my own game engine on top of it. I've spent the years since profiling and optimizing that engine, often chasing performance problems line by line. That engine became X3JS. After all this time, the hardest part is still how deeply everything is connected. Even the best AI models today can make a change that looks completely correct, and quietly break something three systems away. An engine like this doesn't forgive that. So for this test I didn't want a synthetic benchmark. I wanted a real, AAA-looking game scene: cinematics, dialogue, characters, terrain, weather, a boss fight. The gameplay, the cinematics, the MIDI music, the music and sound selections, the animation choices: all of it was produced by AI through X3JS's MCP tools. Camera work, dialogue, voice casting, triggers, enemy behavior. Everything in the scene comes from the X3JS asset library and when X3JS releases, users will be able to use all of these assets freely in their own games. The video shows the exact same scene, side by side: - GTX 960M, a 2015 laptop GPU - RTX 4070, a desktop GPU Two separate gameplay runs never line up perfectly, so I made a few cuts to keep the cinematics in sync between the two sides. The scene, the settings, and the cinematics themselves are identical. The GTX 960M is still one of my favorite machines to test on and i am lucky to have that. If a heavy scene runs well there, the optimization work is real, not a number on a slide. And X3JS contributors; Terrain materials: Poly Haven Sound archive and AI meta: Selekt Audio

today is a HUGE day... my first project as a director is out now!! "kid for life" by lulu la (full music video) shot, produced & edited by myself & Xavier Jimenez featuring performances by lulu la & Avi Julia Brown with assistance from Jackie Kay & Dan Stadnicki title graphics by FishyPond _________________________ almost a year ago, my roommate Xavier & i were tired of doing nothing but auditioning & had so many stories we wanted to tell. we realized that the only thing stopping us from just doing it was knowing that we had to commit 100% of our time and energy - so i decided to quit streaming & we formed a production company. since then we've been building out sets of high quality cameras, amazing lights, beautiful lenses (some being vintage lenses from the 40s and 50s, rehousing them ourselves to fit modern cameras) & other awesome film equipment *and* learning how to edit, color grade & sound engineer to make an all-encompassing production company that does pre-production, production, & post production. we've played just about every film crew role on our projects so far (to the point where on our upcoming short film i was running sound while operating our b-cam while pulling focus while also directing) & it's been such a fulfilling learning experience. since my exit from the walking dead over 5 years ago i keep hearing the question "so what are you doing now?" and for the longest time all i could say is that i was auditioning for new stuff - and i wasn't proud that i didn't have a better answer. i was fortunate enough to do some amazing projects here & there over the years, but none of them lasted longer than a couple months. now i do have an answer i'm proud of! i'm constantly creating my own projects and telling stories i want to tell, and i get to do it with some of my best friends. so being able to visually tell a story like this music video - wanting to be a kid again, when everything was easier, feels full circle to how i constantly felt when i was in that limbo-stage. and don't worry, i'm still acting. this is just another way for me to be able to create meaningful art that you can watch, feel for & relate to. enjoy!

A monumental moment in medical history: the first gene therapy for genetic hearing loss is now FDA approved. As a former Regeneron scientist, I feel very proud. I had the opportunity to hear about this programme while it was still in development. It’s one of the few programmes that, every time you came across it, you felt the medical breakthrough in your bones and privileged just to be there while it was happening. At this moment, it’s important that we look 30 years back when researchers mapped a locus on chromosome 2 to congenital deafness in a Lebanese family ( They named it DFNB6 (later DFNB9) with no clue about the responsible gene. Three years later, the causal gene came to light: OTOF, encoding a protein called otoferlin ( Seven years after that, in 2006, pioneering work by Christine Petit revealed that otoferlin is a calcium sensor in the inner hair cell membrane, acting as a molecular trigger that converts sound into electric signals that the brain can read ( Twenty years fast forward, we now have a successful treatment. Thirty years from discovery to medicine. OTOF-related deafness is congenital, caused by complete deficiency of otoferlin. In these children, the cochlea is structurally intact, hair cells are there, the mechanics of sound transmission work. It’s just that final step, where hair cells hand off the signal to the auditory nerve through neurotransmitter release, that doesn’t happen. Sound arrives and dies at the synapse. It’s deafness due to a defect in the synapse caused by the absence of a single protein, which is what made this a beautiful, clean target for gene therapy. The treatment itself is a feat of molecular engineering. OTOF is too large to fit in a single AAV capsid. The team solved this elegantly by delivering the gene in two halves separately, which then get spliced to produce the full functional protein. A single surgical injection into the cochlea, a molecular miracle unfolds. Results from the CHORD trial were striking: of 20 evaluable patients, including children as young as 10 months, 80% showed meaningful hearing improvement, and by 48 weeks, 42% had achieved normal hearing including the ability to hear whispers. Otarmeni is not only the first gene therapy for deafness, it’s also the first dual-AAV therapy to be approved by the FDA. There are very few things in medicine that come close to giving back a sense like vision, hearing, or touch that a human never had from birth. It’s almost God’s work. A parent witnessing their child who was born deaf hearing their voice for the first time, it’s a joy that no words can describe. Multiply that by the fact that it came from a single injection, a repaired gene, and 30 years of science. We are truly in the golden era of medicine. I got the true ending in Saros and here is my review: -Incredibly addictive gameplay, makes you think “just one more run,” you really don’t want to stop -Visuals are amazing, runs great on PS5 Pro -Awesome DualSense features -Art direction is something special, mix of HR Giger and Dune with overwhelming, striking imagery -Brilliant sound design and a soundtrack that constantly drives you forward -Great level design, exactly the right mix of exploration, combat, and platforming sections -Facial animations are a clear step forward -Fantastic voice acting -Rewarding upgrade system, every run actually makes you stronger -Unbelievable boss fights, not only visually impressive but extremely demanding, beating them feels like pure dopamine -Shield mechanic to deflect enemy projectiles is great -I wouldn’t say it’s easier than Returnal, but rather more accessible, with difficulty that can be adjusted up or down through modifiers -WTF story moments -Great accessibility features (colour blindness, controller remapping and more) -The game works great for short play sessions -Playtime of around 15–20 hours -Interesting narrative, but Returnal’s story had a stronger impact on me -Enemy and weapon variety could be better -Not a fan of 30 FPS cutscenes -Conversations could be much more dynamic, with characters often just standing completely still SAROS is a true PS5 gem, driven by incredibly well-crafted and highly addictive gameplay. Its visual style and sound design rank among the very best the industry has to offer. While it may not be perfect in every aspect, the overall experience is so compelling that it hardly matters. If you’re looking for a game that completely pulls you in and doesn’t let go until after the credits roll, this is exactly what you’re looking for. I got the true ending in Saros and here is my review: -Incredibly addictive gameplay, makes you think “just one more run,” you really don’t want to stop -Visuals are amazing, runs great on PS5 Pro -Awesome DualSense features -Art direction is something special, mix of HR Giger and Dune with overwhelming, striking imagery -Brilliant sound design and a soundtrack that constantly drives you forward -Great level design, exactly the right mix of exploration, combat, and platforming sections -Facial animations are a clear step forward -Fantastic voice acting -Rewarding upgrade system, every run actually makes you stronger -Unbelievable boss fights, not only visually impressive but extremely demanding, beating them feels like pure dopamine -Shield mechanic to deflect enemy projectiles is great -I wouldn’t say it’s easier than Returnal, but rather more accessible, with difficulty that can be adjusted up or down through modifiers -WTF story moments -Great accessibility features (colour blindness, controller remapping and more) -The game works great for short play sessions -Playtime of around 15–20 hours -Interesting narrative, but Returnal’s story had a stronger impact on me -Enemy and weapon variety could be better -Not a fan of 30 FPS cutscenes -Conversations could be much more dynamic, with characters often just standing completely still SAROS is a true PS5 gem, driven by incredibly well-crafted and highly addictive gameplay. Its visual style and sound design rank among the very best the industry has to offer. While it may not be perfect in every aspect, the overall experience is so compelling that it hardly matters. If you’re looking for a game that completely pulls you in and doesn’t let go until after the credits roll, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Here's my first series of Anime created by Generative AI. Vidu 2.0 is a groundbreaking advancement for storytelling in the Anime style. #vidu @Viduforhuman Hi everyone 😊 😉 Here's my first AI-created Anime series. The name of my anime is Kuro & Yuki. I won't spoil the story for you, but it begins with these two boys locked up in what appears to be a highly secure institute/prison. Yuki has reached the age where he has awakened his power. While wandering the corridors of the institute, he meets Kuro, a boy with autism. It's a fleeting encounter as they end up being separated. As the story unfolds, you'll understand who they really are and why they are locked up. I don't plan on making episode 2 yet, even though I've grown attached to my characters' story. I'll continue the story only if a lot of people are interested and want to know what happens next. Otherwise, I'll explore other universes and styles of Anime 😉 Tools: - Epidemic Sound (For sound effects) - Vidu AI (to transform frames into animation) - ElevenLabs (for certain expressions) When I say Vidu 2.0 is a game-changer, I mean it. I had already made my animation with the previous version of Vidu, but when they gave me access to the beta, I urgently changed my plans and recreated all the animations. Let me tell you, it's a whole new level. My first animation was ultra frustrating to bring my ideas to life! Really! And since Vidu couldn't handle many image styles, I clearly couldn't bring my ideas to life. But with Vidu 2.0, I enjoy it much more! For the first time, I really get to bring my ideas to life! Until now, I always had to make compromises. Of course, Vidu is still not perfect, and there are still many obstacles, but it is a truly magnificent advancement! (and it surpasses all the Anime-style AIs I've tested recently) Moreover, Vidu 2.0 is fantastic for special effects, but also for embedding elements into the video (like a hand that appears and interacts with the character, or another character; and the best part is that they perfectly match the style of the original images!) * The animations/images and voices are AI-generated * The SoundDesign is traditional and done by me * The story was entirely written by me (I don't use AI to create my stories, it's important to me to write them myself) The voices were generated thanks to Nijivoice (for secondary characters) and Hailuo Audio (for main characters). I thank Yachimat (yachimat - AI Short Anime) for introducing me to Nijivoice, it's very generous of him! During the beta, we didn't consume credits, otherwise, this animation would have cost me around 20,000 credits, ha ha. Vidu 2.0, with its superb stability and fidelity to the style of images, offers brand new horizons for storytelling! One problem with Vidu 2.0 is that for now, you have to manually extend videos (by exporting the last frame). As you can see, this allowed me to create long scenes with different actions, and everything fits together perfectly! There are still many obstacles to storytelling, such as character consistency (I use the image to video function; I produce my images with Nijijourney) and it's always laborious to have a consistent character! The same goes for backgrounds. Here are the points I've identified that would facilitate storytelling: For Vidu: - Function to extend videos (you can already do this manually by exporting the last frame) - Function to invent the beginning or end of a video using a single frame (you can already do this manually by putting a completely white or completely black image as the first or last frame; this technique also allows you to have very dynamic results with Vidu 2.0! ) - It's difficult to obtain facial expressions for certain image styles (the same image style that the previous version couldn't handle at all). - More dynamism There's always room for improvement, but Vidu 2.0 has truly opened up exciting new possibilities for creative storytelling. ai aiart aianimation aianime ainews anime animenews aitools aitool

She notes, "All mRNA injections marketed as covid vaccines today are Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) Military Countermeasures." Latypova adds that the COVID injections are being given to babies as the jabs are now on the CDC's immunization schedule, and that this means, in effect, that it's RFK Jr.'s opinion—by default—that this is an acceptable practice.
