10,00,000 Cusecs from a Godavari Tributary 😳 A remarkable hydrological event unfolding on the Indravati River! The Indravati River near Pathagudem, on the Chhattisgarh–Telangana border, is carrying nearly 10,12,881 Cusecs of flood discharge, an extraordinary flow from a single tributary of the Godavari River. The river is approaching/at its High Flood Level (HFL), highlighting the immense monsoon runoff from the Indravati catchment. 🌊 The Indravati is one of the largest tributaries of the Godavari, contributing substantial floodwaters during intense monsoon spells. 🎥Anil Oyami

Massive water discharge at Narayanapura Dam🌊 The dam is releasing 84,000 Cusecs as upstream releases from Almatti Dam have increased to 80,000 Cusecs. In addition to the 84,000 Cusecs flowing through the Krishna River, another 50,000–60,000 Cusecs from the Bhima River is expected to join the Krishna downstream. As a result, Jurala Dam is likely to receive more than 1 lakhcusecs of inflow a significant event and, if confirmed, the first time this monsoon seasonthat inflows have crossed the 1 lakh Cusecs mark. 🎥Rohit

SHOCKING ALLEGATIONS BY KTR!! In 1908, when Hyderabad was flooded by the Musi river, the then Nizam constructed two balancing reservoirs- Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar. The purpose of these reservoirs is to ensure the city doesn’t get flooded. Whenever the meteorological department raises an alarm about an impending cloud burst, the water from these reservoirs will be emptied slowly! So! When there is heavy inflow to Musi, there is enough capacity in these balancing reservoirs to ensure flooding doesn’t happen. Despite knowing about the cloudburst, the government didn’t release water slowly, but lifted all 15 gates to 9 feet level at once, causing a massive flood. We never saw flooding in Imlibun Bus Stop (MGBS) but it happened today. This is for ₹ 1,50,000 crores Musi Rejuvenation project CM Revanth Reddy ensured the Musi river submerged colonies on its banks! So that people will flee on their own without objections, BRS working president KTR said. #MusiRiver #OsmanSagar #Himayathsagar #MGBSBusStop

Mahabaleshwar 220 mm today 🌧️☔️🌊 Krishna and Koyna rivers are expected to bring a major flood inflow to the #Almatti Dam for the first time this season. With both Radhanagari Dam and Warana Dam reaching their full reservoir levels, inflows into Almatti could rise to around 2,00,000 Cusecs after 48 hours. If rainfall continues today, the inflows may increase further. Currently Narayanapura Dam discharging 1,20,000 Cusecs and Bhima River discharging 60,000 Cusecs. Huge flows expected into #Srisailam Dam next one week. 🎥Kantharaj

🌊 How did the Nepal flood become this devastating? A sudden surge in the river, likely intensified by heavy rainfall and flash flooding, sent a massive wall of water downstream overwhelming the bridge in seconds. 🇳🇵 #NepalFlood #NepalFloods #Nepal #Rasuwa
