The IDF confirms carrying out several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip overnight and this morning, in response to a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire yesterday. Among those killed in the strikes was a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated the Re'im military base during the October 7, 2023, onslaught, according to the IDF. The military says the strikes targeting terror operatives in northern Gaza, Gaza City, and Khan Younis came after five Palestinian gunmen emerged from a tunneland approached troops on the Israeli side of the ceasefire line last night. The targeted terror operatives "had recently been working to restore the capabilities of the terror organizations in the Strip and were advancing terror attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel," the IDF says. One of the strikes killed Ahmad Bayouk, who the IDF says raided the Re'im military base on October 7. Meanwhile, the IDF also announces that a strike on Monday, in response to an attack by gunmen on troops in southern Gaza's Rafah a day prior, killed a Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander. Azem Abu Huli, who headed Islamic Jihad's elite forces in the Strip's center, was responsible for supplying weapons to other terror operatives, as well as advancing attacks against troops, the army says. The Muslim holiday on June 26th is the Day of Ashura (10 Muharram), which marks the primary day of fasting and remembrance on the Islamic calendar. In many Muslim-majority regions (such as Pakistan), it is also an officially recognised public holiday. Last year during the same celebration we had a Muslim man declare in Dublin's city centre that Ireland belongs to them. While I doubt any such declaration was made in Clonsilla today, people should take note that there are seemingly more Muslims gathering together for their milestone calender dates in Ireland than there are Christians gathering for their significant calendar dates. That's only going to lead to one outcome. Food for thought (or halal food for thought perhaps). The point is it is the fastest growing religion in the world and this is not just down to births but is also down to conversion. Islam is ever more present in Europe too, in large part due to immigration (and hateful attacks on Christians and Christian churches, statues and relics are on the rise too). I once read in The Guardian that Europe would be 70 or 80% Muslim by 2070 or there abouts. I cannot find that article now. Maybe it was scrubbed. But it probably wasn't far off the mark. Islam is a conquering religion. That is a fact. Christianity is not. That void created by secularism and atheism and communism and all the isms will be filled. Fact.

Tucker Carlson thinks that Muslims were very kind toward Christians during the Ottoman period, and for that reason, I would like to explain to you how kind they were. For 300 years the Ottoman Turks were stealing kids from their mothers. This was the most brutal thing humanity ever witnessed. Historians estimate the total number of Christian boys taken across the entire Ottoman Empire around 300.000 kids. From those kids 150.000 were Greek kids (over 300 years). It means the half of the total kids that were stolen were only Greek. For example in 1540, a levy in the Greek regions of Thessaly & Macedonia took 1.000 Greek boys in one season and in Chios (the Greek island) 200 boys taken in 1567 alone. The peak was 5.000 kids/annual from Greece. A generational trauma, with thousands of Greek families losing sons every few years for centuries. The system began under Sultan Murad I (1362–1389) and largely ended by 1648, as Muslims were increasingly allowed to fill these roles and Janissary corruption grew. After the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Ottoman control extended over most Greek lands, making Greek Orthodox families prime targets for recruitment. The practice targeted rural communities disproportionately, as urban or strategically important groups were often exempt. Once taken, boys were circumcised, renamed with Muslim names, and forbidden from contact with their families. They were raised as Muslims, effectively erasing their Greek cultural and religious identity to foster loyalty to the sultan. Historical records show Greek-origin devşirme boys rising to prominence, such as Mimar Sinan (chief architect of the Ottomans, possibly Greek) and several grand viziers like Ibrahim Edhem Pasha (from Chios). The system accelerated Islamization in Greek regions, reducing Christian populations and creating a class of "Greek Muslims" (for example in Pontus or Crete). It fueled revolts and the Greek War of Independence (1821), where devşirme grievances were invoked. During the Ottoman period, Muslims enjoyed performing all kinds of mutilations. Ears, noses, lips, tongues, breasts, and genitals were primarily cut off. Not just those, though. Shah Cheragh Shrine and Mosque Complex in Shiraz, Iran. The complex is known especially for its fabulous interior of mirror mosaics, Shah Cheragh shrine is one of the most prominent sites of pilgrimage in Iran. Shah-e Cheragh is considered as a holy place among Muslims unfolds story behind it, as it is mausoleum of Ahmad and Muhammad who were the sons of Imam Musa (7th Shia Imam). In 9th Century AD, Imam Reza (8th Shia Imam who was also Imam Musa’s son) was in Khorasan; Ahmad –his brother- was on his way to reach him. On the other hand, Mamun, an Abbasid caliph was looking to kill all Imam Reza’s relatives. Mamun got aware of Ahmad’s presence in SHiraz and sent a group of soldiers to pursue and kill him. Being on his way to Khorasan, Ahmad was killed by Mamun right in Shiraz. They buried him in an unknown place which was found six centuries later. “Shah Cheragh” in Persian means “King of Lights”; the reason why people refer to him as King of Lights goes back to the story of how people found his body. One narrative is that no one knew where the body of Ahmad was buried until the reign of Amir Adud al-Dawla. An old woman living in the houses surrounding his grave noticed a light shining on each Thursday night. She wondered what that place might be; the women notified Amir Adud Al-Dawla and described to him what has been happening. They went there on a Tuesday night and the moment the women saw the light called the king “King! The light!”. King sent some soldiers to investigate the place. They finally found out that it was the place where Ahmad-Ibn-Musa was buried. The king ordered to build a monument for him in order to commemorate him. This tomb was built during Seljuk Dynasty in 12th Century AD. Then, in 14th Century AD, it got renovated under the command of Queen Tashi Khatoun to commemorate these two brothers. It got renovated several times again due to earthquake and some damages. Later, a mosque and theological school were built adjacent to the shrine to turn it into a religious hub in Shiraz. The mesmerizing tile works in the shrine catches every visitor’s eyes. Iron columns being covered with delicate embellishment is another remarkable point about Shah Cheragh. As the name perfectly puts it, it is definitely the kingdom of light where the harmonic lightning and glory of there will stop you staring for minutes. Magnificent chandeliers hanging, green lumps on the walls, and colorful glass windows on the roof emitting light are some of the eye-catching features of Shah-e-Cheragh Mosque. There is a great museum in Shah-e-Cheragh Shrine which offers visitors ancient copies of the Quran and a few other religious pieces. Shah Cheragh Mosque encompasses several faithful Shia’s tombs who were persecuted because of their faith in Shia. On the other hand, Mamun, an Abbasid caliph was looking to kill all Imam Reza’s relatives. Mamun got aware of Ahmad’s presence in SHiraz and sent a group of soldiers to pursue and kill him. Being on his way to Khorasan, Ahmad was killed by Mamun right in Shiraz. They buried him in an unknown place which was found six centuries later. “Shah Cheragh” in Persian means “King of Lights”; the reason why people refer to him as King of Lights goes back to the story of how people found his body. One narrative is that no one knew where the body of Ahmad was buried until the reign of Amir Adud al-Dawla. An old woman living in the houses surrounding his grave noticed a light shining on each Thursday night. She wondered what that place might be; the women notified Amir Adud Al-Dawla and described to him what has been happening. They went there on a Tuesday night and the moment the women saw the light called the king “King! The light!”. King sent some soldiers to investigate the place. They finally found out that it was the place where Ahmad-Ibn-Musa was buried. The king ordered to build a monument for him in order to commemorate him. This tomb was built during Seljuk Dynasty in 12th Century AD. Then, in 14th Century AD, it got renovated under the command of Queen Tashi Khatoun to commemorate these two brothers. It got renovated several times again due to earthquake and some damages. Later, a mosque and theological school were built adjacent to the shrine to turn it into a religious hub in Shiraz. The mesmerizing tile works in the shrine catches every visitor’s eyes. Iron columns being covered with delicate embellishment is another remarkable point about Shah Cheragh. As the name perfectly puts it, it is definitely the kingdom of light where the harmonic lightning and glory of there will stop you staring for minutes. Magnificent chandeliers hanging, green lumps on the walls, and colorful glass windows on the roof emitting light are some of the eye-catching features of Shah-e-Cheragh Mosque. There is a great museum in Shah-e-Cheragh Shrine which offers visitors ancient copies of the Quran and a few other religious pieces. Shah Cheragh Mosque encompasses several faithful Shia’s tombs who were persecuted because of their faith in Shia.
