A plan is only as strong as its weakest address class. Bitcoin has roughly a million early P2PK outputs sitting with public keys already exposed on chain, no signature ever needed to read them. Any migration plan has to account for coins that can't opt in because nobody controls the keys anymore, and a network-wide consensus change to move them is a much harder coordination problem than a wallet upgrade

@ekanscisum A 3-step plan for the network is only half the problem. Bitcoin has no forced upgrade path, so even a clean technical plan needs miner and exchange buy-in to move funds before Q-Day, and that political layer usually takes longer than the cryptography does
