Yesterday, I testified in front of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee about antisemitism and support for terrorism at @Columbia and many other American universities. The members of Congress asked some really thoughtful questions. Here were my responses: (a thread)

Agree generally, but I'm not sure "if it's good enough for Congress and the president, it's good enough for the university president" fits with the spirit of a liberal democracy. (The US not being a democracy since the president is not elected by popular vote, notwithstanding.)

You complain about "indoctrination" and the suppression of free speech in your testimony, but you also call for the expulsion of anyone who criticizes Israel! Just say what you really mean: you think anyone who criticizes Israel should be brutally suppressed.
