My biggest issue with drafting Arvell Reese at 2 is I don't know what position he'll play at the next level. His run-stopping prowess is as an off-ball LB, not an EDGE. Reese has 7 sacks (0 FFs) in 30+ games at OSU and I'm just not comfortable taking...

Scouts believe Arvell Reese is “not in the league of Micah Parsons,” and I have to say I agree (via Bob McGinn) It’s not unlikely the Jets draft him #2 overall, but that’s due to how WEAK this draft class is more than it is Reese being an immediate superstar in the NFL. Reese is raw and inexperienced as an edge rusher, but I’m not sure his off-ball LB play warrants him being drafted so high either. While he can be an elite linebacker, his upside getting after the QB is what the Jets will actually covet:

Not trying to start an argument here, BUT Arvell Reese vs Indiana is why I am not a fan of him at 2. Tweeners like Reese can become non existent in certain games vs certain teams. Reese in OSU's biggest game of the season had little to no impact (1 assisted tackle). Watch it for yourself 👇

It hit the back of his hand, went in the air and Reese tipped it to himself. The rookie's been a star at camp. Absolute freak of an athlete. ILB Micah McFadden also having a real strong camp. He tipped a pair of passes Tuesday and had a TFL vs. the run. McFadden is a starting-caliber player as a backup. The Giants actually have some depth at the linebacker position.
