My biggest issue with drafting Arvell Reese at 2 is I don't know what position he'll play at the next level. His run-stopping prowess is as an off-ball LB, not an EDGE. Reese has 7 sacks (0 FFs) in 30+ games at OSU and I'm just not comfortable taking...

Scouts believe Arvell Reese is “not in the league of Micah Parsons,” and I have to say I agree (via Bob McGinn) It’s not unlikely the Jets draft him #2 overall, but that’s due to how WEAK this draft class is more than it is Reese being an immediate superstar in the NFL. Reese is raw and inexperienced as an edge rusher, but I’m not sure his off-ball LB play warrants him being drafted so high either. While he can be an elite linebacker, his upside getting after the QB is what the Jets will actually covet:

Micah Parsons gave the #Jets choosing David Bailey (over Arvell Reese) an A grade. Parsons had Bailey 2nd on his board, Reese 9th. Said even though he himself is an off-ball LB, you just don't take an off-ball with limited pass rush snaps, 2nd overall. (🎥 Bleacher Report)

I just went down a LSU LB Harold Perkins rabbit hole and this dude is a FREAK He looks special as an off-ball LB but he also has an ability to rush off the edge at a high level and looks super solid in coverage/run fits Gives me Derwin James vibes but at LB

Not trying to start an argument here, BUT Arvell Reese vs Indiana is why I am not a fan of him at 2. Tweeners like Reese can become non existent in certain games vs certain teams. Reese in OSU's biggest game of the season had little to no impact (1 assisted tackle). Watch it for yourself 👇

At 92 I think the Cowboys have found their MLB/Hybrid Jaishawn Barham is the biggest sleeper at MLB in this draft! OK Coverage Ability, A+ Blitzer, A+ Speed Rusher, A+ Motor, Closing Speed, High IQ & He's Evil I think the Cowboys scouting team deserves credit for finding this level talent so late! If he's considered a LB & not an Edge I think his draft stock would be higher! Pleasure to watch & is a DAWG He's not an EDGE he's a LB With Edge capabilities!

I asked Cleveland native Arvell Reese what his former high school coach Tedd Ginn Sr. has meant to not only his career but his life: Reese credited Ginn Sr. for changing and ultimately saving his life after becoming the highest draft pick out of Glenville High School, going No. 5 overall to the New York #Giants. The #Jets picked David Bailey over Arvell Reese and I was honestly surprised at how much anger came as a result of that pick. Whether you think Reese will be better than Bailey or not — at the end of the day, there is little doubt in my mind that Bailey will at worst be a good, productive NFL player. Arvell Reese had a ridiculous INT on Tuesday. He raced out to the flat and got his hand on a pass intended for a WR at the front pylon. It hit the back of his hand, went in the air and Reese tipped it to himself. The rookie's been a star at camp. Absolute freak of an athlete. ILB Micah McFadden also having a real strong camp. He tipped a pair of passes Tuesday and had a TFL vs. the run. McFadden is a starting-caliber player as a backup. The Giants actually have some depth at the linebacker position.

Jonah Savaiinaea is a very intriguing OL prospect at 6-5 336 lbs but can play OT & OG He pops off right away as an exceptional pass blocker and due to his ability to play all over the line, he seems very in tune with DL stunts He might struggle with elite speed off the edge but his versatility is great and could see him as a big time guard at the NFL This dude is SOLID
