My biggest pet peeve at the range

I'm a range officer at an indoor range. 1 round every 2 seconds??? what is that bullshit. If people are shooting properly and not being stupid, and hitting paper, let them shoot. 1 round every 2 seconds is some old boy bullshit

I live in AZ, plenty of spots to go out to the desert and shoot. Much better than the range plus its a great place to take out your frustrations on household appliances that let you down.

This is why I don’t go to public ranges if I can help it, inevitably rapid fire is not allowed. Almost every fucking range. Sometimes you are lucky and you can rent the entire bay. Which is nice but even then there is some old guy that will inevitably complain someone is shooting to fast. The fuck you think I’m here training for Steve? Deer hunting? 😂

As a certified RSO. Id chew out that RSO. You focused on the guy rapid firing (which i support his right to do so) versus the @$$ hole that flagged his loaded handgun cuz he took a piece of hot brass down his shirt. Safe the weapon... before you worry about that brass. 🙄

Been shooting for close to 30 years and I’ve never been to a range. I just put in a shooting lane and berm in my field so now I don’t even have to drive 10 min to the in laws land anymore. I genuinely never want to set foot in a range, based solely on what I see posted online. Seems awful. Only positive is people ogling your collection if you have cool stuff, but definitely not worth it, and then they’ll want to put their grubby mits all over it and burn through your ammo…

Waiting 2 seconds is going to stop hot brass from flying at someone?

I so thankful for being apart of a sportmans club now that dosent care if you have full auto, 3 round burst,frt, or just semi as fast as you can pull the trigger.

If it's not at a gun range then where is he ever going to shoot like that when it ever becomes necessary. It seems to me that most gun ranges have become unnecessarily pussified.

People definitely do that shit on purpose especially when they’ve been shooting for a long time and they just get bored. I’ve absolutely gotten shooting in intentionally angling the guns to bounce into my aisle.

Oh, I was shooting at the time an 80 year old Montgomery Ward's 20GA side-by-side and if I pulled the open choke trigger first, there was a good chance both barrels would go off so I always fired the closed choke trigger first...

Go shoot skeet at an unsupervised public range and enjoy the dudes with self-loading shotguns going ham and missing everything. Never really thought about it back then, but once the range cleared I could've probably picked up a lot of free clay and never had to pay for it.

Its usually ones ran in accordance to ATF, sadly sometimes they have the good distances but yea doesnt make sense if youre safe and then youre going to buy more ammo and they can offer full auto experiences to make more kiney, but whatever…

My friend was getting a mechanical engineering degree so we opened it up to look at the action. It wasn't so much "machined" as they gave a dude a cold chisel and said "have at it". We screwed the side plate right back on.

Ranges are for zeroing your rifle. whole lot of places to go shoot.

The rapid fire thing is often an insurance issue. The fudd range owner doesn't want to pay extra on their insurance. And plus fudds want everyone to shoot whatever they have like they have some bolt action deer rifle. 🙄 But plenty of the shooting public is also wild and unsafe.

The first thing you do when you go to a firing range is to make sure that the other shooters are behaving responsibly. If any of them are not, go home and come back another day.
