Elliston Berry is an incredibly brave individual — she is a 15 year old girl from Aledo, Texas. She was the victim of an AI deepfake. This was a harmful and traumatic event that Elliston endured. Our bipartisan legislation, the TAKE IT DOWN Act, unanimously passed in the Senate last week. This was unacceptable — it shouldn't take a phone call from a sitting Senator for this filth to get removed. She's the reason we introduced and passed the TAKE IT DOWN Act. My bipartisan bill passed in the Senate unanimously — it needs to be taken up in the House so it can be signed into law. We need to pass this important legislation so girls like Elliston don't have to live in fear.
