Happy Final Space Friday. We're progressing through the battle for Earth in Episode 10, season one. Daz Daz Tibbles is killing it like always! These have so much going on in them that they will take a bit longer, but it will also be a good test for how we handle our big battle in the Final Chapter. Right now, it's just heads down and doing the work. I will keep this update short, but I should have some very cool things to show off next week. Creating an immersive Hanging Gardens of Babylon world with 360° GPT-Image-2 & Codex in 1500 images. I've tasked GPT-5.5 in Codex to construct a whole world that you can walk through 'google street view' style. It took 1,500 of 2:1 images that can be turned into a 360° immersive images, so you can teleport yourself to any point and look around in all directions. It is not completely perfect, it is a bit jumpy as you move, there must be a more careful way how you can plan out the image sequence, but I still find it quite fun. Hosted version & an open sourced repo links below, hope this gives you some cool ideas to create new worlds that does not yet exist. I recommend planning it out carefully ahead of time and doing something a bit less ambitious than this, but make it good.

Capricorn One is still one of the most entertaining conspiracy thrillers of the 1970s, with a great set up and a really strong hook: the faking of a crewed mission to Mars. It's sometimes a bit overlooked, maybe because it's a slow build up, but the payoff is worth it with some brilliant action sequences: Telly Savalas and Elliott Gould in a crop sprayer dodging helicopters, Gould driving at breakneck speed without breaks through traffic. It tapped into a lot of existing conspiracy theories and a general post-Watergate mood of distrust in institutions, and writer and director Peter Hyams delivers a strong thriller as a result. The two novelisations, by Ron Goulart and Ken Follett (writing as Bernard L. Ross) are really good reads. Hyams later sci-fi work also doesn't get all the credit it deserves. Outland (1981) is a solid 'space Western' that feels claustrophobic and tense throughout. 2010: The Year We Make Contact is also really good ("Piece of pie!"). Watching all three movies together makes for a fun (but long) evening! Capricorn One had its US release delayed until mid-1978 to avoid clashing with Superman. Audiences really liked it and the Jerry Goldsmith score, realistic NASA props and some great set pieces make it really work quite well.

Currently testing Hunyuan brand new 2.5 model for image to 3D. YUP! It's MAJOR improvement over 2.0, especially with making details look sharper, it can also reconstruct more detail. It also generates PBR materials now and you can automatically rig the character on the website. It's much better than Trellis and Tripo from my testing! Took it into Blender as well to compare Hunyuan 2.5 (on the left) and Hunyuan 2.0 (on the right). I wanted to see the mesh with a solid and material preview. If you're doing 3D printing, these would probably work very well. However...the biggest issue here is still topology which is a complete and utter mess, there's also still issues with texture projection...and the entire model is a single mesh, there needs to be a method to generate the model in parts BUT this tech is certainly improving. As someone that is also a 3D artist, I actually want to see what this tech is capable of generating to output 3D models.

Its not often Im lost for words, but last night this stopped me in my tracks. Just over 3 years ago my content changed alot when I went sober and I got a lot of stick for my shift in direction. Through that process Ive lost friends and family, followers, brand deals, business and I get constant criticism and negative comments when I discuss certain things, it can be triggering and to be honest a bit annoying im sure. But, there is a core group of you that have stuck with me for the comedy and let me talk about mental health, sobriety and the darkness some of us face, and a few of you that are here for the sobriety stuff but put up with my jokes along the way, to all of you thank you…. But.. Every now and then I see a comment, or a message, or at one of my live show’s someone says something like “You saved my life” and it hits me, its worth sharing, its worth the shame, embarrassment and comments, its all been worth it, because every now and then it really helps someone feel like they aren’t alone. Who exactly is Frankie LaPenna? Now known on CT as the $GYAT coin man. This is a 60 second reel showcasing some highlights over the past 4 years. Long story short, I am a content creator / stuntman. Today if my videos got 2,000 views instead of 20 million, I wouldn’t stop. I’d keep doing the same thing i’ve always done because it’s about more than views and followers. It’s about the craft and my obsession with it, regardless of how people respond.
