Neutrino particles led to win more than 4 nobel prizes so far 🫣.

This will also help us probe the cosmos as we have mapped the universe…mathematically and contextually. ;) L = c • S Happy hunting!

@WalterIsaacson Cost: nearly $300 million Workfare for scientists Money laundering for pols Ahhh but the results…Useless

Mapping something with 365 Neutrinos a year sounds like a fool's errand.

Wow. Halzen is a mental GOAT. That’s parallel to Einstein imagination there. Im imagining understanding particle physics SO WELL, that you could actually ‘imagine’ something like this to capture this info and THEN trace it backwards. That’s fascinating and exciting. Thanks.

Congratulations

Reactions of that nature were found many times over recent decades from decaying elements in cave walls interacting with liquids in underground tanks (some tanks there for that purpose) which were too given as Muon action So un fortunateley a FAILURE in space proof! @NobelPrize

You neglected to mention that IceCube can explore Majorana neutrino models, which could be another Nobel. I was livid when they turned out not to be massless Weyl spinors, which are more fundamental than massive quarks/leptons. The Universe goes out of its way to be difficult.

Considering the news of potential detection of dark matter particles in one of these under ice detectors which block out other interferences .. can we differentiate whether we've finally detected dark matter or a neutrino interference?

Brian, you may want to call up Sabine and explain this to her. She seems to be a bit confused.

Any other developments in string theory?

Science & Technology is the only source of human civilization. Without it, humans are just one of billion species of animals !! 🤔

How did you eve come up with this

A rare detail: this is the first Physics Nobel awarded to a single person since Georges Charpak in 1992. Halzen proposed using Antarctic ice to catch neutrinos back in 1988.

Thank you for the explanation

Maybe I'm wrong but when people say neutrinos are freely moving through objects & still can interact with basically molecules the same as photons can move freely until interact with molecules. 🤔 Maybe the neutrino detection systems are seeing symmetry breaking free photons

I love your books thanks for posting
