@Lagarde She skipped it because bitcoin is not a government controlled currency. They want a currency they have full control over.

@Lagarde Good one, Fidias! I've never felt so close to any politician before you! You are the next generation of politicians, keep going what you do and thanks for your transparency and honesty ! IMO they don’t want cryptocurrency because they can’t control it

@Lagarde Lie 1. Digital is not like cash. They cannot spy or freeze cash Lie 2. She wants “client” feedback ? they deployed vax passport in no time, but they can’t deploy a poll app to have Europeans feedback ? (Btw Christine, we’re not your “clients”. We are your employer) Thx Fidias

We already have a digital Euro, banktransfers and bankcard payments are digital. The planned “digital Euro” is only a means of expanding control over every person’s spending whereby spending can exactly and in detail be pinpointed and “corrected” by taxation based on for example a persons CO2 scoreboard but also block payments for certain goods or services.

@Lagarde First politician that seems to be really independent in the EU and is asking the right questions! Love it! Fidias, I have a popular daily Bitcoin Podcast Show and would love to ger your input on Bitcoin + EU on that. Would you consider joining me?

@Lagarde > not complete privacy, because of money laundering We have full privacy with banknotes, so going digital will degrade our privacy because “money laundering”? No thanks

Well, first she talked about clients. How is it possible for a central bank to have « clients ». This is not part of the ECB mandate therefore this is illegal until the opposite is proven. Second, she replied in another interview a couple of years ago ago. She talked about her son who was deep into crypto. She said, if I recall it well, that he will play with it and that he will eventually get bored about it. Crypto currencies are their Achilles heel. In the banking sector, no one understands what is the reason to built CBDC : there is no market. This is dangerous and this is communism.
