My coverage of the ongoing Indian student protests in Canada have caught the attention of Punjabi language media. I was asked to do an interview with Kirpa TV yesterday. They seemed concerned that I used the word "protest" to describe their protest and not "peaceful rally."

Perhaps the students would do well to understand wearing daggers does not relay a peaceful image. Ceremonial or not, armed protesters are very concerning to Canadians. Certainly does not endear anyone to their cause.

Some students have been abuseing our good will and trying to stay longer or come with no intent to do the work of being a student. They were never here to become citizens and theres no reason to make an exception right now with all the hardship we face.
