Somewhere along the way paper credentials alone became more important than using those paper credentials to achieve success. And the people with that paper decided that only those who thought like them could have such paper. Our society nearly disintegrated during COVID thanks to credentialism. So many segments of our society are floundering based on a perverse view of credentials. I have a lot of credentials myself, which is part of why have such scorn for people who rely on their credentials alone rather than put forth compelling, persuasive arguments as part of logical debate. Also. I’m still sick in bed and bored so I wrote another song.
