In an era where people kiss the ass of their bosses to get what they want, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai was one of those APC members to call PMB’s attention to some of the things he was doing that he believed were not right through a memo in 2016. El-Rufai was never known for keeping quiet and observing table manners, it is one of the reasons I like him. We need people who are fearless enough to tell any president the truths he doesn’t want to hear. But even then, in 2017, the media ganged up against El-Rufai and made it look like he was serving his personal interests. Again, history will vindicate Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, this I’m sure of.

This was during his tenure as Governor of Kaduna State when his convoy ran into a siege laid by bandits on Abuja - Kaduna road. Commuters were stranded and vehicles parked. Fear reigned supreme. Governor Nasir El-Rufai did not order his convoy to blow the siren and speed pass. No. He stopped his convoy, alighted from his vehicle and alongside his security team went on foot towards the source of the danger, even as the stranded and fear stricken onlookers were shouting at him to ''come back Mallam"! "come back Mallam"! He continued. This is not an AI generated video neither was the video shot by his media aides or 2k data boys. This is the same Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai who some idiots say is a bandit sponsor. This is the same El-Rufai who they say paid bandits as Governor and some clowns believe. This is the same El-Rufai who they killed Southern Kaduna people and persecuted and killed Christians. This is the same El-Rufai that some losers love to hate. As reported by Punch Newspapers “According to the witness, investigators subsequently interviewed Nuhu Ribadu, who reportedly confirmed that the conversation referenced by Nasir El-Rufai took place between him and the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.” Now what did Mallam Nasir El-Rufai say in that interview that the witness said Nuhu Ribadu confirmed? Mallam El-Rufai and I quote: “Nuhu Ribadu made the call and ordered that I must be in custody.” The question here is, under what authority is the National Security Adviser ordering anti-graft agencies to arrest somebody? Why is he telling them what to do? Their jobs are not the same. He can file a petition to them, but he can’t tell them that they “must” arrest somebody. This is a clear case of abuse of office and political witch-hunt, and as far as I am concerned the President’s NSA is acting on the orders of the President. If you say Mallam tapped the NSA’s phone, then we can agree that two people committed a crime. Why is one free and one in custody? Politics? Yeah, it is.
