This is even MORE incredible in slow motion. 😳 A closer look at Simone Biles' floor routine that secured the U.S. to become the only team in history to win 7 consecutive world team titles. #Antwerp2023

This is the moment Maryland's Wes Moore became the first Black governor in the history of the state. Moore is only the third Black person to ever be elected a state governor in U.S. history overall, per the NY Times.

20 years old. Youngest heavyweight champ ever. Absolute destruction 🤯 Mike Tyson’s legendary 2nd-round TKO of Trevor Berbick back on Nov 22, 1986. Berbick trying to stand up three times on loose legs is still one of the wildest visual sequences in boxing history. #IronMike #BoxingHistory

🚨When 2 of the GREATEST Wrestling Coaches in HISTORY wrestled in the WORLD FINALS‼️🔥 In 2003 - Penn State HC/Olympic Champion🥇Cael SANDERSON (USA) was fresh off of the most memorable career in NCAA history, winning 4 NCAA titles without taking a single loss (159-0) Sanderson’s road to Olympic Champ was tougher, and in his first bid for a World title (2003) he faced legendary Dagestan National Team coach/ 2x World Champion🥇Sazhid SAZHIDOV (RUS) - losing a close 5-3 decision.

On this day in 2015, one of the most insane matches in Halo history. In the LF of the HCS S1 Finals, a game 5 Sanctuary slayer between CLG (SnakeBite, Royal 2, OGRE2, Heinz) and Noble Black (Arkanum, aPG, Aries, MaNiaC) was replayed 4 TIMES until CLG finally snatched the win 9-5

What a win! What a TEAM! 🇮🇳🏆 India creates HISTORY by becoming the first team ever to defend the T20 World Cup title and the first to win it THREE times. A phenomenal display of skill, composure, and champion energy, showing the world why Indian cricket team remains a force to reckon with. Congratulations to the entire squad for lifting the trophy and making the nation incredibly proud! #INDvsNZ

With all due respect, 2005-2006 Kobe is the best player I have ever seen (Didn’t see Jordan’s young prime live). The Lakers wasted Kobe’s best years and he still got 2 more RINGS post-Shaq. 35PPG on mostly Jump Shots AND 1ST TEAM ALL DEFENSE. The biggest threat from all 3 levels of the floor of all time. Watch these highlights. All bottoms of the net this is crazy. Kobe was still in his young athletic prime and the game came easy to him. And his skill this year peaked at an all time high which the league has never seen in its history considering his threat from 3Pt range. Just insane offensive production. A machine. You have to be totally locked in to move like this. No one can “decide to do this”. This happens when athletic peak meets all time skill. 80 games -56 times scoring 30+ -27 times scoring 40+ -6 times scoring 50+ -2 times scoring 60+ -8 times with 4 consecutive 30pt games -5 times with 5 consecutive 30pt games -3 times with 8 consecutive 30pt games -7 times with back to back 40+ games *Long video but it should be an hour long this year was MADNESS 🤷🏾‍♂️ Point totals for each month (Thread)

The fight that injured Muhammad Ali. Knocked down more than 3 times. Showed one of the greatest chin ever in boxing history. This is Earnie Shavers, 🤔 one of the hardest hitters ever, Ali stood toe to toe with the best, Forman, Norton, Frazier. Never stayed down. 100% paid for it in later life. The worst thing to happen to the GOAT was the day he realized he could take a punch...RIP Champ

The 2015 NASCAR Cup Series championship race is also one of my favorite Kyle Busch moments ever. Busch came back from a broken leg and foot at Daytona in February, and proceeded to win his first title. One of the most insane comebacks in NASCAR history.

“All-black podium was just the beginning of something that will hopefully continue to be recognizable and not just as a one-time thing.” Jordan Chiles was part of the gold medal-winning U.S. women’s gymnastics team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. At the Games, she also made history when she, Simone Biles, and Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade became the first all-Black Olympic gymnastics podium after earning medals in the floor exercise final. We asked Chiles what that moment meant to her and how she views diversity in the sport. Chiles is among this year’s TIME100 Sports honorees. From athletes and coaches to advocates and investors, see who else made the list—and read about Chiles’ fight to reclaim her Olympic medal––here:
